I hadn't heard of it either, but I searched for it on Google and found this site. It looks funny, and vaguely like Banzai.

On one show an old man had to pick one of five walls. 4 of the walls were made of concrete blocks and one was made of foam blocks, they all looked the same. First he had to choose which one it was and then they would fire him out of a giant sling shot to see if he was right... most contestants go home with broken limbs and crying....hehehehehehhehehehe he edit: by the way, yes its just like "banzi"

Takeshi's Castle is the best show ever! (Except Futurama of course...) Even though I wouldn't last two seconds on it if I was to compete...
What's your favourite challenge? I like the Gauntlet best, followed by HoneyComb maze.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but it's better than making a new thread...

This show... Is called something else everywhere, I miss the German Version I saw via Satellite way back when that kept the little Japanese sketches inbetween rounds... This is the British Version, Takeshi's Castle.

Yeah, we had a dub of the Japanese version in Germany in the 90s, seems like ages ago.
