I dont know why, but prank shows like this are becoming more and more common. Recently a woman sued the creators of "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" for emotional damage or something like that. It wont be long before everyone starts doing that. No one can take a joke these days.

Is this like a spin-off from That 70's Show, or is it just the actors themselves? I don't have cable, so I'm not sure.

No, they who are hosting the show also claim to have "created" this one, but the principle is the same compared to the Prank shows which have been done before.

Dumb TV for the dumb masses...

I think Jerkey Boys was the only prank show I acctually liked. But at least what they were doing was original in its time.

I don't really care for the show.  It's like Hollywood Candid Camera where flavor of the month actors play pranks on other flavor of the month actors.

The way the stars react makes me think that its all rehearsed. I mean, they took all of Justin Timberlakes things and said they were repo men, only to tell him it was a joke and they all had a laugh. If I was Justin I would be really pissed and start swingin.

Yeah, believe me, I know how that feels.  Actually, the media doesn't WATCH me but after our concerts it's like a giant crowd of freaks/ nerds/ news peeps/ and the others are cool fans.

As for the show, well, it's not my favorite thing on TV but it's better than 50% of other show son TV.

Are you kidding? 50%? more like 10%. You gotta remember, there are still re runs of futurama, Star trek, Red Dwarf and Sanford and Son. The list goes on. shows like Punk'd come a dime a dozen.

I don't watch those almost any of those shows (besides Futurama, of course)!  Basically I only watch some cartoons on CN and Nick and music videos and sometimes other random things.  I don't watch much TV as much as others do.  And since I'm a big music freak, I like many music shows even if people hate them.  I was really just dissing crap on TV these days when I said that.  I must have some anger with Fox coming out.

I saw some 20/68 hours show about that. You're right, some people just can't take a guy dressed up like a murderer breaking into their house by smashing in a window and trying to kill them. Geesh, those people need to lighten up!

Well, I think there is a difference between what you said and just faking a job interview to have fun with somebody, neither situation is amusing to watch and im sure its no fun if its happening to you, but trying to sue them? Now, if something like you said acctually happend then I understand, that sort of thing is grounds for suing. But I dont think I ever saw jamie kenedy or Ashton Kutcher break into someones house and try to kill them, but if they did then thats pushing it waaaay too far.  :nono:

I loved Trigger Happy TV. Unfortunately it's coming back without Dom Jolly. Bad idea.

I wish i could remember what show it was on. but it was one of those types of "ambush tv" shows where they play pranks on people. and they showed video footage. if i were that girl i would of been having a heart attack.

On the US Sci-Fi channel, they have a "prank" show called Scare Tactics.  It's probably the most awful original prank show out there on the tube right now, but I wonder if something worse will come down the line later on.

Damn, Wonderbee beat me to it. Scare Tactics does all the "uh-oh, there's a crazy killer about to kill you! Just kidding!" gags. I get the feeling that some of their pranks are faked...but if I'm wrong, I can't wait to see the day when they prank someone with a concealed weapon.

Scare Tactics is being sued because of a prank where a woman thought she was being abducted by aliens.
