The film looks like it could be good, but I doubt it'll be a classic. Odie gets caught by a dognapper? Pretty unoriginal...

i dont mind that garfield is realistic. i didnt like it at first, but now, its kinda cool. actually jon one said in around '85 in a comic it went: jon: garfield, i'm going to a cartoonists convention ad the motel i'm staying in doesn't allow pets garfield: sorry odie, you can't go! jon: uh, garfield, you ARE a pet garfield:rats i forgot which garfield comic is the most funny? i crack up at the sigh of this one... http://garfield.ucomics.com/?uc_full_date=20001024*

My favourite goes like:
Garfield: Meow meow! Odie: Bark bark bark! Both: (walking off together) Hee hee hee! Jon: (confused and annoyed) Speak English!

i loved garfield and new everything about it. That was in first grade. Since then, i stopped being obsessed with it, but its still good for a laugh every day http://garfield.ucomics.com/?uc_full_date=20030517 I absolutely hate this comic strip. garfield should never be shown like this on a couch.

its a good joke, but i agree, he looks weird on the couch on that angle. on the side like this though, its ok. http://garfield.ucomics.com/?uc_full_date=20000126 Originally posted by david A : Pffft. I bet that in real life Maddox loves Garfield. He probably drives around with one of those stuffed Garfields with the suction cups stuck to the inside of his car. i have that thing! its great! you should get one. ------------------------------------------------- http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/garfield/

I wonder if they'll remember that Jon works as a cartoonist, which was mentioned in the first strip ever, and then never again. ha! youre wrong there. jons profession was mentioned one more time, when jon when to a cartoonists comvention and garfield got locked out of the house. in about the 20th garfield collection, if you want proof.
