Well... Sort of.
Just picked up The Animatrix last night, and I noticed some familiar voices...
John DiMaggio does the voice of "Crewmember" in Final Flight of the Osiris, as well as the voice of "Kaiser" in Program.
Another person you *may* have heard of, Tress MacNeille, is responsible for the voices of "Housewife" and "Kenny" in the short Beyond.
As for the rest of the DVD, it comes highly recommended by myself. My favorites are Detective Story, Kid's Story, and Beyond, as well as Final Flight... But everything on there's pretty good. Definately worth a rent, and if its your style, a buy.
Uh... Thoughts?

I only saw Final Flight when it was on five the other week but I haven't seen any of the others.

I only saw the 4 episodes that are online, and maybe I 'll get the DVD. First I want to see them in a theatre though.
John DiMaggio also did some voices in that anime with the vampires.

Crap, I screwed up the section... I'm shameful. *sobs* But yeah. I only saw the 4 episodes that are online, and maybe I 'll get the DVD. First I want to see them in a theatre though. I, too, would love to see all of the films together in a theatre, but to be honest, I just don't see it happening. I went and saw Dreamcatcher just so I could see Final Flight of the Osiris on the big screen (and if I may be allowed to note, that chick's ass looks ever better when its the size of my Ford Focus). It was awesome. However, many of the short films are very graphic and not appropriate for younger audiences, while by and large the American mindset is "Cartoons are for kids". Of course, I don't expect any of you to agree with that, especially since Futurama is certainly not geared towards younger audiences. But you must agree that most people are just stuck in the state of mind that you shouldn't be going to see something animated unless you've driving the minivan and bringing all of your prepubesent brats. So, I doubt you will be seeing most of these films in theatres. The most you can hope for is one or two being shown before films, as was the case with "Final Flight" and Dreamcatcher. I'm thinking, "Detective Story" or "Kid's Story", or maybe "Beyond" or "World Record" before The Matrix: Revolutions, or possibly another WB film which is released shortly before that.

I saw the animatrix in cinemas the weekend before reloaded came out. I posted a review of it in the movie review thread back then.
Also most of the voices in Beyond are done by both Kath Soucie and Tress MacNeille, both of futurama fame.

Khimari (*snicker*), and Wakka, quite frankly one of the most brilliant voice acting jobs ever, if just for the accent. What is it? I don't know. I've called it a Hawaiian/Californian/NYC/Canadian accent. It's just that . . . unidentifiable.

He does about half the voices in "Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust." For the main characters, he's Charlotte's father, Nolt (Markus Brothers), and he's the Barborois fighter Mashira (the guy with the wolf in his chest.) I know he does more, cuz I've watched the credits, and his name appeared at least 10 times...

I finally got my GeForce FX 5200, so now I have the game up and running. It rules. Now, all I need is the Animatrix...
