Heres a definate wild card one. i saw it on a different board,so might as well carry it over. Goku vs. Superman!

Depends... which Goku are we talking about? Dragonball Goku? Saiyan Saga Goku? Namek/Frieza Saga Goku? Android/Cell Saga Goku? Buu Saga Goku?

And which Superman? Classic 30's "can't even fly" Superman? Obscenely powerful Silver Age version? Weak 80's Superman? Or Absurdly-but-not-obscenely-powerful Modern Day version?

Ok heres something strait. Goku could transport anywhere in the universe if he wanted to run away,or just sneak up behind him and blow the hell out of him with a big ass kamehameha.

Goku is nauseatingly powerful but Superman in the silver age was essentially a god, he would do things like push the earth from its orbit and split into two forms for no apparent reason. He could beat Goku, anyways Goku is as dumb as a doorknob while Supes actually seems to have some flashes of insight. Superman would just outsmart him and then use his powers creatively beat him, it would be a good close fight.

If it was Batman? poor Goku has no chance at all!

Yes I know Goku can blow up planets early on in the sagas but he only does this with powerful universe destroying villains, not on a generic fighter, also his powers do have a large delay? the spirit bomb has him throwing his hands in the air for a couple of minutes and the Kamehameha takes way to long to start up. Some major weaknesses.

You do know Goku is one of the dumbest anime characters. And the rest of the DBZ characters have the commen sence of bricks with a handfull exeptions.

Batman would just out smart him plain and simple. Wouldn't have to throw a single batarang.

Goku is not all poweful, you just have to out smart him, use mental attacks, or just unmake him (some anime characters can do that).

Let's list a few similarities between both Goku and Superman:

They can both fly (to a certain extent)
They're both races from another planet
They both fight many robots/androids
They both hate killing people
They're both really powerful

However, Superman is the real winner here. He's got the wit to go with his muscles of steel, and Goku just punches the hell out of people. Superman's smarter, and as far as strength goes, I'm not even gonna use that power level crap. After the Cell saga, those numbers ridiculously skyrocketed. Also, supe never died, unlike Goku. Superman has more endurance.

And in the 5 episodes that would take, Superman wouold tear him limb from limb.  Truth, Justice, and the American Way beat the snot out of Japan any day of the week.

And making Goku fight Batman?  That's just cruel to Goku.

Fact: Batman has contiongency plans to take out the entire Justice League, if need be. Give him some intel on Goku, and before you can say "buffet spiked with horse laxative", Goku's done for.

Superman would rip that pretty boy Saiyan a new asshole and still have time to watch Oprah (provided they did it in Superman time and not DBZ time, if they did it in Dragonball Z the fight would drag on for years with no visable change.)

I would also like here to voice my opinion on Goku, what he has going for him is that he's the Rocky Balboa of the anime world, every enemy follows the same formula, big bad comes along, most powerful thing ever (or so we think) Goku and chums train and train (the only difference being the lack of 'Eye of the Tiger') and after a few months of ridiculous fight scenes they win, but wait! No time for celebration lads, a new big bad has come along, and wouldn't you know it? It's a gazillion times more powerful than anything before it, so they get together to train and train...

The really lucky thing for him is the way they happen in order of power, if the current big bad had come before DBZ's earlier big bad, they'd have been atomic dust in two bloody seconds flat.
