If I lived in America, and had CN, I would definetely like to see The Critic on Adult Swim. It's one of the best catoons ever made.

Beavis & Butthead? Isn't this segment of CN called Adult Swim?

Beavis & Butthead rules

Was The Critic ever shown in the UK? I've never even seen it. It sounds cool, but the closest I've seen is that Simpsons ep with one of the characters out of it  :)

I'd say M*A*S*H as well, except to me it's still a new show.

The Critic and Duckman are both currently shown late night on Sundays on Comedy Central (if you get that channel).  They also show Undergrads, another good cartoon.

The thread just says "Old Shows".  That pretty much gives us carte blanche to talk about whatever we feel like.

They should make a new magnum PI. I guess it would be hard to track down a lead male with such a full and luxurious mustauche, such as Tom Selleck had.

There are these two old 90's cartoons I remember, but I forgot their titles.

Can anybody help?

First cartoon-  Had this cartoon character that look like a character from Peanuts, he had yello socks.  The reason why I remember this show was that it aired on Fox prime time once and it had live action props in the background of a scene.  I remember a cafeteria scene where it featured a live action milk carton on one of the tables.

Second show was about a cartoon penguin with a big nose wanting to learn how to fly as his Xmas wish.  I believe this was a Xmas special.

Can anybody please tell me the names of these two shows?

On a nostalgia kick eh? I remember when I was little in the mid 90's my parents taped loads of the episodes of the 60's puppet show Captain Scarlet for me, one of the best shows ever made by far, with unrivalled pyrotechnics which are still awesome today  :D

any one remeber "wait till your father gets home" if you watch family guy and remeber that show they were basicly the exact same characters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wait_Till_Your_Father_Gets_Home

they should show alot of the shows they use to show on cartoon network late at night back in the day like the "super harlem globetrotters" or "Gary coleman gardian angel" i know they arnt good shows but they sure will make you laugh

That would be A Wish for Wings That Work: An Opus Christmas Story, a Christmas special based on the children's book of the same name by Berkeley Breathed, featuring characters from his comic strip, Bloom County.

Anyone ever watch a sci-fi show from the early 90s called 'seaQuest DSV'? It was my favourite at the time... kinda like Star Trek but underwater in a giant submarine. Recently purchaced the first season on DVD.

I remember Sequest.

It was EXACTLY Star Trek in a submarine. Except with slightly less aliens.

I was a little sprout at the time. I thought the young lad played by Jonothan Brandis was really cool, and I aspired to be like him. Then a few years ago I heard he'd comitted suicide, which was a bit sad.

Anywho... I think it was the second season when they introduced the dude with the genetically engineered gills. He was cool.

I liked the early episodes of SeaQuest, but I lost interest when it got all science-fictiony.

True. Felt as if they'd belted too much genre into it.
