Birchum is king. Elmer and Special Ed are hilarious but Birchum's maniplulative. I have yet to have seen a Birchum-call where the cranked does not believe him. His character is so well developed that he can take things like  his Vietnam days, an overweight wife, and siamese-twin daughters and make what is normally a sensitive and unfunny subject and make it funny but not offensive at the same time. Truly a classic.
