You just soiled a perfectly good show by crossing it over with friends.

I can't wait for the new series to start this week; I have loved Friends ever since it started on C4  :)

It will be interesting to see how it ends. Recently I read that about a year after this series ends, the cast will be re-united for a 90 minute special  :)

There will be Joey's spinoff show, which I think might be worth checking out.  I still stand by what I said earlier in the thread, it's past it's prime, but I'm sticking with it until the end, and I'm a completist, so I have all the current nine seasons on DVD.

Well I watch this TV interview the other day with Jennifer Aniston and she said that it’s not true that they going to make 90 special after the whole series.

Yeah I know. They show the repeat episodes of friends nearly everyday on E4. It is annoying.

The repeats are really annoying. They show them every day on Channel 4 at 7.30am ...

Even though sitcoms are the lowest form of entertainment (almost a quote from the great one), I actually have some good laughs from Friends. Especially Chandler, because sarcasm and irony is my game. Some sitcoms are quite alright.  ut then again, some are pure bile (*CoughVeronica's ClosetCough*).
So have any of you seen the rip-off show Fnierds, where Göbbels, Futlam, Gnokster and Kneply meet up at the local café to discuss the things that really matter? Of course, the things that really matter are schizophrenia, restraining orders, rabies, meteor impacts, heart infarct, bedlams, fatwas and leaf gelatine. It's really a good show. You can actually gewgle for it- try it if you know your Danish.

The Atkins Diet hit Courteney Cox baaad.  She looks terrible now.  Ross and Joey can occasionally be funny.  The Chandler and Monica scenes suck the big one.

Yeah, most of the ones where they get all "you and I forever" on us. That is just a little too all-American for my taste.
What is the Atkins Diet? (Is it a diet? ...ooohh) The flaw is that you can now see the chestbone. But it's still a sweet smile she has.

The Atkins Diet is a trendy(ish), controversial diet in which amongst other things you cut all carbs out of your diet.  Many scientists claim it is bad for your health.

Speaking of how the cast look, Lisa Kudrow is really starting to look old around her eyes.

That's because Lisa Kudrow is the eldest of the bunch and was in her 30's when Friends started.

I haven't seen Friends since Grade 7 so I decided to watch it a few weeks ago, and (I never thought I'd say this about a TV show) I was morally offended.     The episode was about
  Stupid show, good riddance.     :finger:

EDIT: Spoilerized, just in case someone hasn't seen it yet and wants to.

Whoah! With the finger and all... But truly, that's what I dislike about it as well. They never really take the fall. And the sugarcoated stuff is just freaky-gross. ALL sugarcoated stuff is disgusting.

I watched the new series of Friends about 2 and a half hours and its really starting to get boring - all the humour is pretty much the same and compared to other American comedys like Scrubs it really isn't all that good (Ok, so it's slightly better than Will and Grace...).

This new episode was awful, possibly worst episode I have seen. Well maybe not but definitely way down there. Only one or two moments that made me smile.  Nothing that even nearly made me laugh out loud and multiple times when I groaned/cringed.

watched the first ep of the 10th and last season tonight and was very impressed. it's been a long while since i last laughed at friends but tonights ep seemed fresher and sharper.

since they don't have to worry about being re-commisioned i think they are going to be edgier and sharper this season. in the past you can see where they've played safe just for the sake of an easy life, even though there was never anything to be concerned about. as is the way with US network shows. so this last season i'm expecting sharper gags and going by last nights show sharper performances, too.

I hated friends, never watched it. And I am glad that it is finally going off the air. I felt the show was overrated, not funny and stuck to the same premise, and lacked originality. (in my opinion) My ma use to watch it, but she stopped because it started to get stupid. I always stuck to ABC anyway. Better programs

Do you know what's sad? Once Friends goes off the air, the traditional network sitcom will be dead. Think about it, what will replace Friends as "the" sitcom everyone obssesses over?

I'm sure that NBC is asking the same question...
