Lately, I've been really addicted to the show "Home Movies" on CN, which comes on after Futurama. Anyone else out there like this show? For some reason, I find it absolutely hilarious.

I *LOVE* HOME MOVIES!  Brendan rules!  And know what else?  The comedian, Paula Poundstone, used to do the voice of Brendan's mom, but now it's someone else.  :|

Did anybody see the commercial tonight where Brendan goes into the wedding and he's got a rash (I think) all over his face and Jason's all, "Uh oh.  He's loose!" or something. XD  That got me cracking up.  It's a great eppy.  n___n

Landstander, what a great episode! And yeah, that part where Brendan busts into the wedding with that rash all over his face, and his Jason says "Oh god, he's loose," that cracks me up, too. I've started taping each episode, for future posterity.

My favorite episode is still the rock-musical about Kafka's "The Metamorphasis". You have to be truly twisted to like that one.

i loved the Kafka's musical. the bug thing was funny. Byt Landstander was just pure gold. When Walter and Perry were talking about getting married and all the church people were staring at them i nearly fell off my bed i was laughing so hard. My cat thought i had lost my mind.

McGuirk: "Your honor, might I suggest a spanking on his tush?"
Judge: "( Pounds gavel ) That's it! Another word and you'll be held in contempt!"
Brendon: "Thank you, your honor."
Judge: "Okay... Anyway, Brendon, I'd like to start off by..."
McGuirk: "Oh, Bruce Boxleitner."
Judge: "What did I tell you, mister?"
McGuirk: "I'm just saying Bruce Boxleitner was the guy in Tron, your honor."
Brendon: "Oh, right! Thank you. Oh, thank you. Now I can sleep."
McGuirk: "Great movie."

I saw this show for the first time during the Adult Swim segment after the All- Star game.  I'm hooked. I try catch it after Futurama whenever I can.

I got hooked to this show, too.  I remember when I first saw it I was kind of thrown off by the crappy animation, but then I got into it 'cos of the funny plots and great VO's! XD

yeah. it used to be on UPN. they only aired 5 episodes of the 13 they ordered. CN brought it on board in 2001 and then ordered a second season, a third season, and a fourth season (currently in production). there's also a DVD in the works.

heh. hopefully......

Home Movies was picked up easily because of how cheap it is. It costs around $150,000 an episode.

Last night was the season 3 opener...the "Fairy Princess" episode. It's one of my favorites. Fenton is a riot.

"Hey Brendan! This movie's gonna be great, right? I look really good on camera! I have a good face! In this movie, I get to be the doctor! And I can fly! And I'm really handsome! And tall! 6'5! And also I'm the president! And you're really ugly, and I'm really great! Right Brendan? Right? This movie's gonna be great!"

So yeah, the show rocks. But what's the deal with that foreign guy, who shows up all the time and has a different job in every episode? He's not bad, but he doesn't strike me as that funny. Yet since the switch to Flash animation, he's been in practically every episode.

Yeah I really like Home Movies but dont get to watch it hardly at all nowadays. Its really funny but nobody else in my house gets the humour apart from me. I think its class and I'd buy it if it ever came out on DVD  :)

i just finished watching tonights ep of Home Movies. In Brendon's movie clip that they aired Brendon was dressed just like Fry. i mean he had the blue jeans the white t-shirt and the red jacket. he even spiked his red hair up. it was kinda surreal.

Ah, this show, I love it. I just wish I could stay up to 10.30 to either watch or tape it. I really hope the DVD rumors are true. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and make myself stay up. I've already taped all the season 3 episodes of Futurama. Woohoo!

That's a good one. I like McGuirk's subplot better though, where he tries to exploit the "girls with fat fathers love fat men" thing. Sigh...I want to be John McGuirk when I grow up.

yeah...I would go to sleep early too and get the sleep I need as of late, but instead I stay up to watch Futurama at 11 and Home Movies at 11:30...I sacrifice sleep to laugh...that's the only way
