yeah, i agree... i think that was the point entirely. Julia was'nt meant to live up to the expectations we had of her. We were meant to realise that spike was holding onto memories that he had of her, and was more willing to accept these than her in reality. But then, you all say how much you hate her and stuff, how she was'nt what you expected... but what were you expecting? she was a 'normal' woman, and spike was a normal bloke (apart from the amazing martial arts, gunplay, and cowboy lifestyle) -okay so he wasnt that normal. anyway, they were suited to eachother, and you could see the love between the characters when they met, it was instant, old, and real. all at the same time. i think that it was done pefectly, if julia turned out to be somthing more, like i dunno (whatever you were all expecting of her) then i think it would all be a bit hollow. its a message, things never turn out perfectly...

anyway, BRAVO cowboy bebop! Ed, Jet, Ein, Faye and ofcourse spike. alas i whall never forget you.

I'll be honest, sometimes, I find myself tossing and turning at night, unable to sleep.  A thought occurs to me, then I suddenly shake my head.  My eyes shut from focus not fatigue, and I concentrate, then I look up at the cieling, and silently say,

"Yeah, Spike definately did Faye...at least once, anyway."

Well, I got this thing in the mail from Columbia House.  Seems they miss my money.  Anyway, they want me to join their "Anime DVD of the Month" club.  Right.  Normally, I'd toss it in the trash without a second thought.  The only thing is, the first DVD you get if you sign up is the Bebop movie, and it's only five bucks.  I really don't want to join a Columbia House club and go through all that hassle again, but they're tempting me.

Probably not. They were at each other's throats until episode 25. I doubt there'd be much time for hey-hey-hey. Heck, the thought of her in his shower (in ep. 4) freaks him out. No nookie there.

Chill out Nurdy, one of my friends is a good-looking chick and she's into anime too. Not the cutesy kind, mind you. She enjoys Trigun and Hellsing.

Back on topic, I just want to point out my favorite scenes in the Bebop movie:

- The opening credits
- Spike in the store: "You take too long to take a shit!"
- Moroccan District (great atmosphere)
- Spike vs. Vincent in the train, and on the tower
- The dogfight

hey, fellow Beboppers - you got me wantin to see 'The Movie' now...

So far I've only seen the 26 sessions (all greatness!), but was avoiding The Movie cause my local Anime-lovin' friends said it was so-so ("The Super Heroes have turned evil - most uncool!" )  :D

Thanx...

The movie is good, but not a patch on the series, imo. But then anything bebop is worth wetting your pants over... i often do.

But the important question is this:
Is it worth joining Columbia House again just to get the Bebop movie for the low low price of five dollars?

Oh, and while I'm here...

By borrow you mean steal right?

I think the beginning of the movie is the best part, where they're fighting in the store...

I thought it was a really good movie, and any Bebop fan should see it.

PS. I have yet to see it with the English dubbed voices....

Now I rarely say this but I prefer Bebop dubbed compared to subbed. Firstly they did a great job of dubbing it and choose some great voice actors for the parts. Secondly I think certain things work better in English (for example the resident evil games have always been in English< to add to the style of the game).

As for the movie. I thought it was good the series was better. That said we must remember the series was sublime. Thus the movie is still a lot better than most of the movies out there.

I mean borrow like I borrowed the three Tenchi movies that are sitting in front of me as I type this.  I've had them for over a year now.

At what point during the series does the Bebop movie take place?

I dunno, i watcehd bebop for the first time last night on the english dub with my gf. The english voices don't feel right with me. I have got so used to the original voices. Ed for one, her voice in the dub is terrible. It's just not the same. spike, jet and faye.. they are all different! i don't like it!
