It's very easy to tell how fast a horse is running.  If a horse is running as fast as it can, its neck will be stretched out.  If its being held back, its neck and head will be crunched up against its body.  This knowledge has completely ruined the flight to Rivendell scene for me in Fellowship, because none of the horses are ever at full gallop.

Classic.

I've never caught that Stormtrooper hitting his head bit, the they cut it from the remastered versions?
If not, which film and when exactly?

It's from "A New Hope" (ie, the original). It's when Luke and Leia are trapped over the pit in the Death Star, right before they swing across the chasam.

Funny thing, though. On my pre-special edition VHS version, I don't see the stormtrooper hitting his head. Is that in the Special Edition, or was it just cleaned up for my release?

From what I remember, it's in both.

EDIT: It's written that Mark Hamill shouts "Carrie" instead of "Leia" at the end of ANH, when they hug after the Death Star is destroyed.

It's fairly contentious, but does sound more like "Carrie" than anything else - and they'd have looped it out.

Oh evan...you call yourself a nerd?

It is from the original Star Wars, but it's not from the chasm-swinging scene. It's before that, when the stormtroopers discover the droids in the control room.

And it's in both the original and special editions.

The thing I like about that, is the wobble after the Stormtrooper hits his head.  Comedic genius.

This proberly doesnt fit into this, but i couldnt find any other topic for it.

In the movie 'Memento', can anyone tell me who actually hit 'Lenny' in the head when he saw his wife being killed?

Upon rewatching the Battle of Hoth (Empire Strikes Back) this morning, I noticed something. Whenever the Incom T-47 "Snowspeeder" brakes, a little flap, similar to the turning flaps on each side of the wing, hangs out from the bottom side of the left wing. But there is no braking flap for the right wing. I thought this was pretty odd, since one flap would make the craft tilt (Unless you center it perfectly). Would anyone higher in the nerd chain enlighten me, please?

A Wizard did it.
The Dark Side did it.
