Having seen Two Towers now, I still say the Ents. I suppose Gollum would be the winner if he didn't sound like Donald Duck with larygitis.

My problem with Gollum was that he was voiced by the exact same actor as Jar Jar Binks. After I learned that, I couldn't get Jar Jar out of my head, and it almost ruined Gollum for me.

Check IMDb.com. You know it to be true.

Thanks Evans,I've lost total respect for Gollum.Everytime I'll watch Two Towers in the future I'll think of that comment and cringe.

I'm surprised a lot of people didn't get that. It was so obvious to me.

I went with Yoda, even though Gollum probably was a better digital creature from a technical standpoint. That's because voting Gollum is the same as laughing out loud whenever JarJar talks, and also it's really gay  :)

Since when are Andy Serkis and  Ahmed Best the same person?

Ricky, that's the stupidest reasoning I have ever seen for voting in an internet poll.
Well, maybe not the stupidest, but... "Gollum is better but I'm voting for a character that's not as well done, because I think Gollum is like JarJar Binks, for some unidentifiable reason"?
Really.

Okay, okay...Gollum and Jar Jar sure sounded a hell of a lot alike. Plus, if I remember, I think Ahmed Best only did Jar Jar's physical movements (which were later mapped over). Someone else did his voice, I think...(trying to salvage his argument)

Geez, Evan, you are the worst nerd ever.

I haven't seen The Twin Towers, but I thought Yoda looked good in Star Trek: Episode II. A lot more realistic than what I've seen of Gollum in commercials and stuff. But Gollum probably "acts" more realistic, since they had an actor on set(a good move), and since they toned down Yoda to make him more like the puppet.

As for the oscars, if fucking The Phantom Menace can't win a best sfx oscar, I seriously doubt they'll give it to Attack of the Clones.

I predict that Jar-Jaromir will blow even Gollum out of the water in Return of the King.

If you'll remember, Gollum used to be a hobbit like being until his friend found the ring, was killed by him, and he took the ring. He's been withered by the ring. I'm willing to bet his vocal cords are a little bit withered after 500 years...
