You're allowed to like it, as long as you admit that it sucks.

That's all I ask.

That song is so annoying.  It is awesomely bad.  It is cool to listen to now and then, but if you listen to it too much, it starts to get annoying.

Used too often? You mean at the beginning of each show? Yeah, they're really over-doing it.

And they cut the opening song out in like half of the episodes.  Really annoying.

I think what SJM means is that the song's been popular for 15 years, straight, and it's getting a little over-exposed.  Which I totally agreee with, until I got back into it when I watched my season 4 DVDs.

Ok, ok, ok. I have been on a Friends high lately, it's my new thing. And I've finally come to the conclusion that yes, the theme song is annoying. I own season 1 & 3 and I always fast forward through the theme. Can I join the club now?

I hate the opening theme song for The King of Queens, it got old real fast. But I love the show itself.

I like the opening theme song for The Venture Brothers and Law & Order.

I caught the marathon for The 4400 last Sunday, it does have a pretty theme song.

I like the red dwarf intro and the doctor who intro, they both have good music.

The simpsons intro is really boring and is just not funny anymore.

I like the Simpsons opening, though I don't want to sit through the long version all that often as it gets pretty old when you watch the show all the time. I like the fast pace of the Futurama opening, and can sit through it every time.

I love the Harvey Birdman intro - it just is so cleaver.

Also, the intro to MST3k - I can remember when I knew all of the words...

NewsMonster: "...the NBA on NBC theme, although now extinct, is so sweet it should be given its own number and put up in the rafters somewhere..."
-I totally agree. I loved that theme. Too bad TNT, ESPN, and ABC air it now. (The ESPN theme is cool, but the classic NBC one is better.) NBC needs to get the rights to air some playoff games. If more (or all) the playoff games were broadcast on national TV, they'd probably get higher ratings.

Beamer: "King Of The Hill's intro is good (I especially like the ones after Season 3, when it zooms up on Hank's head, and he just gives the camera an expression-less look :laff : ), mainly because I love the theme song so much.
-I also love that theme. (Luckily I have it on CD.)

-I don't know why everyone (or most of you) don't like the Family Guy intro. I think it's great.

-Some other shows worth mentioning are 'The Angry Beavers' and 'Invader Zim'.

-I don't know if movies go here, but I love the intro for Star Wars. (Including the intros with the FOX logo and Lucasfilm Ltd.)

Trust me, once you've seen it so many times, it becomes SO tiring and repetitive.

I've seen practically all the episodes on DVD (except the last two or three [including the 'Weinstein' episode]), and the new episodes on FOX, and I still like the catchy tune. I'm starting to memorize the entire theme.

I guess everyone has their own preferences.

You've seen forty-something eps of Family Guy and you still don't know all the words? YOU, sir, are NOT a geek!

If I haven't seen it for a while, the intro to The Dead Zone is good. But it gets old right quick.

I hate to say it, but I think one of my favorite intro's for a show was for Enterprise... muted, oh for the love of God muted. I hate that song more than I hate mayonnaise.  I just thought it was a neat little montage.
My favorite intro is probably for Trucks! though because I am a gearhead  and that truck flying at the end is awesome.

Least favorite: South Park. Then again, that show in general is starting to wear at my nerves...
