Oh, I *just* remembered... I absolutely cannot *stand* that Disney Channel show The Proud Family.  The people who make that show are *so* racist 'cos there are barely *any* white people on there at all!  Plus the show isn't funny, it's really stupid, and it's boring!

Personally, I can't really stand all that anime, especially all those cliched "Neo Tokyo" stuff, it's been beaten to death. The only anime that I have seen and liked, though, were "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away," mainly because they deviated from the typical anime subplots and holes.

As far as cartoons I hate, I would have to go with probably that Digimon crap, and the sudden influx of those cheesy power ranger rip offs that seem to be appearing with more frequency. they're awful, and poorly dubbed.

It seems pretty polar here, between the anime fanboys and the anime haters.  People who really don't have strong feelings one way or another, like me, seem to be in short supply.

Much like any other type of programing, there's a hell of a lot of bad anime out there. Don't believe all anime is like Pokemon or the other crap shown on Kids WB. However, when anime is good, it's great!

Somehow, we starts on the Oedipus triangle in literature today, and the best example that I could think of, and properly explain, was the situation between Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, and Commander Ikari in "Neon Genesis." That is, perhaps, one of the best modern examples the teacher had heard (after I explained it).

Also, while I'm thinking about that class, "Cowboy Bebop" is perfect film noir at parts. "Trigun" is the standard Western. "Dragonball Z" is the perfect 'old mythological story'.

And otaku are indeed scary. Like nerds that normal nerds make fun of.

On topic, one cartoon that I hate is that crappy "Gary and Mike" claymation show they show on Comedy Central Sunday night. It redefines 'awful'.

And I'm none too keen on that "Dilbert" cartoon, either.

This is nothing new. There were shows before like Martin and Moesha that did this. Mostly a lot of UPN shows, really.

I know.  When's the last time you saw a white person on such shows as Friends, Dharma and Greg, Home Improvement, and plenty of other shows that I can't think of offhand.

Incidently, the shows I named I pulled out of the air.

I'm just trying to think of a truely diverse tv show, and it's not happening.

And just what the BLOODY HELL are you watching the disney channel for?  That's what I really want to know.

Beavis & Butthead - the only redeeming thing on that show was watching the stupid little tossers get the crap beaten out of them.

Tripping the Rift and Cleveland are also on my hated cartoons list.  Tripping the Rift was a poor man's Futurama.
