I missed the awards, I totally forgot about them :hmpf: It's cool that Linkin Park won an award :) And I'm not a huge fan of Eminem, but I do like most of his hits. I'm not into his albums, but he does have talent :)

I understand that Puddle of Mudd (just a fancy term for calling themselves "a piece of crap" ) is completely and utterly manufactured, and Creed I wish certain and horrible death to, but there are some bands that just happen to be put into certain molds in order to be sold better....bah, okay, I'll admit it. I like Linkin Park somewhat and I just don't think they should be lumped in with the crap-rock bands on the radio. Okay?

And you can't tell me that Linkin Park is not currently a one-hit-wonder

You're stretching it by saying Reanimation is a whole new album...

True, "Reanimation" can't be called an "all new" album; it's in the same genre as the Gorillaz/Space Monkeyz's "Laika Come Home." But Linkin Park did do at least 2 major hits ("One Step Closer" and "In the End" ) off of their first album. It's just that "In the End" broke thru so much that they're labeled as a one hit wonder.
Then again, because all 5 singles were released so soon after each other...nevermind.

I dont get what everyone has against Linkin Park. They're my favourite group and I had no idea they were supposed to be 'manufactured' I didn't jump on the band wagon after the success of 'In the End' though. Like so many people I know, which really annoys me in one way but in another way its cool that they like their music. I liked Linkin park from 'One Step Closer'. But then again everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if people want to think that they're manufactured and one hit-wonders then let them. I've got nowt against that  :)

They call Vanilla Ice a one-hit-wonder even though his "Ninja Rap" song from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 was obviously a hit.

I don't mind their music, in fact the first time I heard One Step Closer on the radio, I went and downloaded it on Napster. I've even got their album. It's just that it's not like these guys knew each other in high school and played crappy club gigs or anything. This is a group whose lead singer's manager got him an audition with a bunch of guys who needed a vocalist in order to get a record deal.
