Futurama: Hannibal

...is NBC paying you?

I don't watch much TV, but for some reason I've watched every episode of Hannibal. It has too many major flaws for me to wholeheartedly recommend it. Hannibal's motivations don't always make sense (and the show will lose all believability if he's not caught soon), and it is silly that there are SO many elaborate serial killers, and their grisly displays of their victims bodies are very hard to swallow. (You can't do that many things to that many bodies in one place without somebody eventually noticing you!)

And yet......I find the characters compelling. And it is beautifully directed. And the gross-out scenes, as over the top as they are, are pretty well done. I've wanted to throw up on a number of occassions. The cast is very good.

I like the show. It's one of the only things I watch regularly. But I still wish it were better.
