In Birdpeople's culture spelling of words is considered highly insignificant compared to other issues such as imminent shortage in worm economy.

Yeah, birdperson's death wasn't very impactful, although he was pretty good character.

Ah, but Birdperson refers to it as "Bird culture", not "Birdpeople culture".  He also refers to "Bird World", which doesn't help understand the spelling of his name and goes to further the question about whether that's his real name or just something he answers to like Gearhead.

However, Adult Swim's YouTube channel does spell it "Bird Person", so I think we should consider that authoritative.

So I was thinking about portal guns tonight.  I assume the Rick who died at the end of Rick Potion #9 had a portal gun and suspect that Rick brought his own portal gun when he and Morty entered the dead Rick's timeline.  It could mean there were two portal guns in the storyline universe when Rick self-destructed his own gun at Burr d'Person's wedding.

I've assumed for some time that Rick has multiple portal guns just to fuck with the Council of Ricks tracking his every move. I reckon Beth's going to be the one to find one of these, and decide that she needs Dear Old Dad back in her life, no matter the cost to her sanity or marriage.

Just putting that out there. That's my prediction.

This show grows on me every time I manage to catch an episode, usually in the wee hours.  And I'd love to get it on disc, but I haven't seen the blu-ray sets available for much less than $40.

The episode premiered, for sure, but not so sure you can say the season premiered since it won't start actually airing until summer. Splitting hairs though, obviously.

New episode was good. The Mad Max parody was... kind of random, though amusing. I liked the robot versions of Morty, Summer and Rick. "My sister died in the spaghetti..."

I hope Jerry eventually moves back with the others. He's much funnier when in their presence.

Robot Morty was fantastic. I liked the Mad Max-esque universe, some great character/art design there. The animation looks fluid as ever.

My random-ass theory that I might have posted here before:

Jerry will start to hate Rick for pushing him out of the family, and thus we see the return of Evil Morty from season 1, who, as we know, also hates Rick a whole lot. Thus they team up. That's as far as I got.

I liked the new episode.  The flow seemed to be slightly off, though, in a way I can't quite put my finger on.  Not off to the point of distraction, mind you, just not as effortlessly fluid as most episodes.

I'm waiting to see Beth date some old flame, who then totally loses his shit after a couple of interactions with Rick

Also, I never noticed the three green indicators on the back of the portal gun before.

Pickle Rick was a great episode; loved the OTT violence, the absurdity of the plot & how they tied it together with the therapy scenes in the end. Also, very cool hearing Peter Serafinowicz & Danny Trejo on the show!
