I dislike the way FOX treats some good shows (like Futurama) but at least they made the shows in the first place.

FOX have brought us some good shows over the years, like Simpsons, Futurama and Married...with children. I guess that's a reason to thank them, but their subsequent treatment is questionable at best.

Anywho, as for unbridled hatred towards FOX, I think we pretty much covered that in How Would You Kill A FOX Exec?

Perhaps the best course of action is to sit and watch FOX kill themselves off? Many large companies have been going down the drain in america lately.

You're pretty old too. I would have thought that you'd be the one to hate 'em most, anyway. You lost a cushy job thanks to FOX's mindbuggering stupidity.

FOX will run themselves into the ground someday, and when they do, PEEL will be there piling dirt on them.

this one time i saw a fox and the fox looked at me and i went over to the fox and i gave the fox some of my sandwich because i was eating a ham sandwich and then the fox took two bites of the sandwich and then the fox ran away so i guess i don't hate foxes except that the fox ate two bites of the sandwich instead of one but that's okay i forgive the fox

I hate Fox for being so cruel and selfish. Not letting Matt moved Futurama to a different network is just as bad an act as cancelling the show

In 1986 FOX turned down the chance to have exclusive rights to a new science-fiction show.  That sci-fi's name?

Delicious.  :evillaugh: That should rank right up there with IBM's refusal to buy MS-DOS.

We can but hope.
Unfortunately their failing TV station may be propped up for quite some time by their more successful ventures like Fox Studios (the film making bit). I am sure Murdock would hate to see one of his media giants crumble.
The only real light at end of the tunnel is that Murdock may sack the muppets making the calls at the top and replace them with competant people, in the hope of injecting new life into their ratings.

If you thought the idea for Joe Millionare II sucked before......now it's a load of crap.  The new Joe cusses for no reason (You gotta have a reason, or you suck), and no one would want to see it again.  You only do this kinda ting once, mkay?  That's right!  FOX has succeded in becoming more crappy than they already are.

In all honesty they are just as bad as most Network T.V. stations. Look at how Gilligan's Island back in the 60's... a very similar way to Futurama.

I call the shiniest shovel!

I call the fanciest/best built.  But at least make it the best built.  And if possible, make it something that is thrown back into their face from FOX's past.  I know! :D  Put the Star Trek: The Next Generation logo on.  Or maybe the ST:NG and Futurama logos together. That way, shows that FOX rejected is burying the dead FOX.  Now that's irony.  :evillaugh: It's so saweet!  I love it.

They gave us Futurama but they also took it away from us. I wish I could cut open the stomach of every fox exec involved with the cancelation of Futurama with a rusty knife and throw their guts all over the place   :evillaugh: . Then I would shoot gail berman in the head, sever all of her limbs and place her head on a pike for public display   :evillaugh: .

Puting it in that perspective, their lives would have turned into reality shows themselves.  That's some real irony for ya.

Much as I hate Fox, they probably made the right decision on Star Trek.  Let's face it: its a cult show.  It has a core fanbase of fans and makes a lot of money off of them, but it just doesn't attract many casual tv viewers.  One could say that running it is part of the reason UPN (they run it right?) is in itself considered unprofitable and only for the cult fanbases of specific shows.  Fox has done a much better job at appealing to the masses, which is unfortunately the best decision from a business standpoint.

Its no surprise Fox passed on ST:TNG, as no sci-fi flavored series lasts very long (exception - the X Files...), such as:

Adventures of Brisco County (western with sci-fi twist, not renewed - 1 season)
Space: Above and Beyond (a cool series that also wasn't renewed - 1 season)
Firefly (good series that was pre-empted a lot, like Futurama - 1 season)

Other cool Fox shows cancelled/not renewed:

Family Guy
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
(insert your favorite show here)

(and, the Greatest Show On Space Earth...

FUTURAMA   :(

Don't forget....SLIDERS! That was a damn cool show on FOX. I liked the story, the situations the cast got into. When Sci-Fi took it most of the cast got replaced.

I don't remember Adventures of Brisco County though.

sorry to be a voice of reason, but FOX is just as bad as every other major network. in fact, sometimes it seems FOX is actually nicer than networks like NBC and ABC. ABC has certainly pissed off a lot of people, and Kevin Smith and Denis Leary can be the spokesmen.

I hate FOX for spoiling key events of next week's 24 episode (one episode preview showed a key character falling to her near-demise).
