RIP Glen A Larson. In the seventies and eighties it seemed like half the shows made in the US were created by him!

Very sad, indeed. I caught a couple episodes of the original series when they aired, and I was immediately hooked. I remember thinking "This is *nothing* like Lost in Space or other corny TV sci-fi shows".

Unfortunately we seem to be chalking off the Star Trek TOS crew members...
I met him at the London Film & Comic Con in 2006 and he was delightful, gracious and suffered this particular fool gladly. Which gave me a nice memory, and my VHS box set is signed by him. Bless him, he'll be missed.

Andrew Lesnie, heart attack at 59. Cinematographer ( Babe, Lord of the Rings, etc.) "On the set of Lord of the Rings I asked him during a set-up in the darkened tower, 'Andrew, where is that light supposed to be coming from?' his typically impish reply, 'The same place as the music.'" -- Sean Astin

And regardless of where you stand on his music, there's no denying the major influence he had in the blues genre. And he seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

Rest In Peace Blues Boy King The talent of B.B. King and Lucille has always shown how to experience sadness but still keep one's head high and one's eyes forward. He lived a long life and the spirit of his music will never pass. Earth has lost, but heaven has gained, a true legend. Reuters: Blues legend B.B.
