Also, does anyone know if the blade runner sequel is genuine or just a rumour?

It's real. :nono:

Looks like we're going to need a sequel to this very thread soon... Hopefully it doesn't suffer 'Sequels always Blow' syndrome. :hmpf:

Oh, you're gonna hate Schildler's List 2.

Is that for real? I'd honestly not be surprised...

No... not yet anyway.

The Blade Runner sequel is still in the works.

Any Pixar sequel.
Terminator 2 (but none of the rest).
Probably some others.

I remember some others, but not very many...
Back to the Future II
Batman Returns

On the topic of good or bad sequels, are the sequels to The Matrix any good? I'm a huge fan of the first film, and I'd like to know if the others live up to it's quality.

No.

Though I didn't even like the first one, so I might not be the most reputable source on this one. :p

They tried to do too much with the sequels. Went too big.
I don't hate them as much as everybody else seems to, but it would help to just go into them open to just enjoying a story rather than analysing and picking to pieces... because in many ways they are awful. Trying WAY too hard to be reality-warping and complex and stylish and it all just turns into a mess.
They were also unnecessary.

Still, awesomely destructive vehicular sequence in Reloaded makes it worthwhile.

Me too sorta. It's more like when I finally got around to seeing The Matrix in high school, my brain had been so over-saturated with every satire, parody, send-up- and reference of The Matrix that watching the movie only gave me like 5% more context and I didn't care. Not a bad movie but everyone else had already done it (even though it was because of that movie).
