This looks like the right place for my rant.
I turned on the TV to watch "Bob's Burgers" last night, and FOX had an atrocity to animation on instead, something called "The Cleveland Brown Show".
Catchy theme, okay, but it promised a bear, and there wasn't a bear in that episode!
Instead, some jerkwad (Cleveland?) who happens to be Black decides he likes donated food so much that he pretends to be a homeless person so he can get more. As if the real homeless people and the volunteers couldn't tell he wasn't from the streets. (I dunno, maybe he normally stinks a lot ...)
Well, OF COURSE he gets caught, because his family thinks he's spending all his time VOLUNTEERING at the homeless shelter at Xmastime. (See, I related it back to Futurama.)
Then comes one of the more annoying parts of the show: He apologizes, and in his apology insults another group of people. Then he apologizes to them, and insults yet another group of people. All right, we get the joke, but the scene repeats itself again and again with more and more groups. Enough already!
Maybe the average FOX viewer hasn't gotten the joke yet, though.
That gets him off the hook, like it does in TV Land.
There's also a couple of side stories about his daughter who wears a skimpy elf's outfit, then takes it off with a speech along the lines of "I refuse to become a sex object!" As if walking around a mall in only panties doesn't objectify you already ...
I would really tear into this, but most of the characters are Black, so I won't. However, I think this 20 minutes' worth of animation will set race relations back a good ten years.
Okay, I'm stepping off the soap box now.

You've never seen Family Guy I take it? And you've never heard of this show? Catchy theme, okay, but it promised a bear, and there wasn't a bear in that episode!
I'm sure you get pissed off whenever Mr Burns isn't in an episode of The Simpsons even though he's in the title sequence. I do agree however, the show is absolutely awful. I'm sure we had a "Cleveland Show" thread around here somewhere.

If there is any show on TV right now that would set race relations back 10 years it would be Hardcore Pawn. The Cleveland show isn't made to be taken seriously.

"Honey Boo Boo" is a pure trash show. "The Cleveland Show" is just kinda a miss. Not horrible, but not good.

I just watched When a Freight Train Loves His Cookie...
Anyone seen this episode? Or catch the not-very subtle gross reference in the musical number at the end?

Just this morning I watched an episode(the one with Nicki Minaj) and I still thinkin that doesn't matter how much they try it. Is a bad show. Cleveland was an acceptable character in Family Guy where the supporting characters have more charm than the principal cast, but here all the charm that Cleveland had in FG got lost. Usually Seth's shows can be the same but always is something interesting that keeps you watching a couple of episodes. For example Family Guy is basically a "hardcore" of The Simpsons and American Dad! ,weird can be a sitcom too but usually they touch more delicate topics (Politics, gay marriage, etc.) also they handle fiction and bizarre stuff in a fun way, also they actually explain you why characters as Klaus or Roger (the best Seth's character, indeed!) exist in the show. In change Cleveland Show has nothing new,the main characters are boring (except maybe Cleveland Jr. the only episode that I like is about him,the one where he dates a lesbian),the supporting characters are...you can easily forget them (I can't even know their names ,the only character with potential is Tim) and the writing is LAZY. They only mix two modern pop references and DONE!. Basically the show doesn't have personality, again as main character Cleveland is very weak, if you compare him with Stan or Peter (even if I really dislike him,I have to admit it he has good moments). So,yeah I'm so glad that is cancelled!
