Just watched a whole bunch of Tick episodes that I downloaded, just want to know what people think of the show (comic, sitcom whatever) and some favorite lines.

"Monkey out of nowhere!"

"Its funny why clowns make people laugh, how puppies make people smile, why tiny blue
midgets keep hititng you with fish..."

"Not baked goods, Professor; baked bads!"

"my middle name used to be Helping People, The "Helping People" Tick."

"I hate broccoli, and yet, in a certain sense, I am broccoli."

Tick's Brain: Tick, this is your mind speaking.
Tick: Oh! Hello.
Tick's Brain: Sorry I haven't been around much lately but I'm easily distracted by shiny objects.

and of course... "SPOOOOON"

I remember the ep where Tick didn't get the concept of human date 'n' mating. I thought it was hilarious. To think that the Tick became devastated after that spectacled fly guy (forgot his name) went out with a lady. The Tick had to intrude over everything they did.

He almost got the concept of mating, but thru a documentary about praying mantises. And we all know how the female eats the male after mating, so Tick bursts into the bedroom for the dramatic rescue  :laff:

The animation was astonishingly crappy at times but the writing and acting were all just too perfect. Dang, I miss that one as much as the live-action one.

Trivia: the person responsible for the memorable, jazzy opening theme of The Tick is a virtual nobody who also scored only a couple of movies, including the no-budget Star Crystal, easily one of the worst movies ever made.
