SoS have you paid attention to me and Zoidy? Rory has me now. I'm better than a hot alien.

Bump.

I'm watching Tennant stuff after watching original stuff and Matt Smith's stuff. Is it just me or is Tennant's Doctor overly arrogant and narcissistic?

It's not just you. It was annoying and overbearing at first, but very satisfying when he descended into his downward spiral of becoming Time Lord Victorious.

"The laws of time are mine, and they will obey me!"

Yeah, Ten, how did that work out for you?

It's quite annoying right now. I guess I just got used to other Doctors.

I need to rewatch that stuff. I don't remember that.

I'm watching Utopia/Sound of Drums/ Last of the Time Lords.

Last of the Tim Lords.

I know that's just a typo, but the Tim Lords don't sound nearly as impressive as the Time Lords.

Tennant. Heck, if it wasn't for his quick role in Harry Potter I wouldn't have gone out of my way to watch Doctor Who.

I didn't even know he was in Harry Potter till I stumbled across the scene... >.< But I never really paid attention to the movies. I got into Doctor Who because SoS kept bugging me and I've never regretted it.

TLF I hope you have seen other Doctors.

I've seen some episodes with Matt Smith and a couple with one or two others. It's one of those series that I haven't had the chance to watch as much as I'd like to nor have I seen them in order, so sometimes it's a bit confusing when they make references to older eps. The first one I ever saw was so good I have a reflex now when I see my shadow, that I don't have two shadows ><

... nor have I seen them in order...

Since many of the very early episodes from the days before John Pertwee (in my opinion the worst Doctor by far - the Doctor should not have a speech impediment) were destroyed that's something you'll almost certainly never manage. I'm currently attempting to watch all of the surviving ones in order (including audio/reconstructions of the lost ones) but it really is a mammoth task. I'm about half way through the Traughton era.

But I would strongly advise that any Whovian worth their salt should be at least familiar with the 8 incarnations of the Doctor prior to the show's return in 2005.

(Ooh, it's like bugging BF1221 all over again)

No love for Jon Pertwee?    :(

My earliest memories of Dr Who were from his era, specifically the story where yetis invaded the London underground (subway). I don't think I went as far as hiding behind the couch but as a pre-teen I certainly found the show suspenseful enough.

And thanks for pointing out that I'd spelt his first name wrong.

I've started watching early Doctor Who episodes again I've just finished The Keys of Marinus. I watched  half of the William Hartnell stories about 4 years ago but I forgot alot of the stories I watched (and the DVD's are better with the audio commentary and Production Notes).

Now every time I hear/see the word "time" in Doctor Who, I'm going to mentally truncate it to "tim".

THE DALEKS ARE THE MASTERS OF TIM!

"The End of Tim".

"It's a wibbly-wobbly-timmy-wimmy thing".

I think it's tim that you stopped being so angry and learned to laugh at this. I mean, the less tim that you spend being mad at people, the more tim you will be able to spend enjoying yourself.
He's just being a Tim Meddler.

I suppose it's better than being a Tim Bandit, or involved in a Tim Paradox.

The Olympic committee can just piss off as far as I'm concerned. You had a perfect opportunity to celebrate one of Britain's greatest exports by having David Tennant light the flame and you blew it.

Just piss off. I now refuse to watch any of the games cause you didn't start them right.

That makes me angry too. I'm going to totally not watch the Olympics like I was already planning to but with more contempt towards them.

I think they decided that having Matt Smith carrying the torch in Cardiff enough of an acknowledgement to Doctor Who to set everything okay. Stupid bastards.

Jonathan Pryce was another one-off incarnation, as it were, though I thought he fit the part well :p

I'm surprised that Doctor Who didn't get much of a reference, though I'm sure I heard the Tardis during the house party bit.

The 5 Pond Life episodes were okay-ish, I'm actually really looking forward to today's episode, even though 'The Wedding of River Song' put me off the show a bit.

My confidence is back for some reason though, plus Moffat has promised no super-long story arcs through Series 7, each ep is a stand-alone adventure. :D

Less than 2 hours!
