haha!...ethel the frog!..

Well one day I was at home threatening the kids when I looks out through the hole in the wall and saw this tank driver and out gets one of Dinsdale's boys gets out and he comes up, all nice and friendly like and says Dinsdale wants to have a talk with me, so he chains me to the back of the tank and takes me for a scrape round to Dinsdale's. And Dinsdale's there in the conversation pit with Doug and Charles Paisley, the baby crusher, and a couple of film producers and a man they called 'Kierkegaard', who just sat there biting the heads of whippets and Dinsdale says 'I hear you've been a naughty boy Clement' and he splits me nostrils open and saws me leg off and pulls me liver out and I said my name's not Clement and then he loses his temper and nails my head to the floor.

he nailed your head to the floor?

at first yeah.....

hee..it's absolutely endless....

The only one I've watched is The Holy Grail and I loved it. I loved the french guys on top of the castle throwing insults.

And now,for something compleatly different:
Sergeant: Squad... Camp it ... up!
(chanting like a military march drill, they mince in unison)
Squad: "Oooh get her! Whoops!
I've got your number ducky.
You couldn't afford me, dear. Two three.
I'd scratch your eyes out.
Don't come the brigadier bit with us, dear,
We all know where you've been, you military fairy!
Whoops, don't look now girls,
The major's just minced in
With that dolly colour sergeant,
Two, three, ooh-ho!"

You want to go to New York so you can see Damn Yankees?  I don't think that's currently showing on Broadway.  Good play, though.

Kloudes and I just got back from NYC a little while ago.  In conclusion:

Best. Play. Ever.

I could start talking about it, but I'd just begin rambling on about the things I found funny... and the lyrics... and the making fun of other plays... and Azaria and Curry and Pierce... and the puns, my god the puns.  Simply amazing, go see it if you can.

I couldn't concur more with the assessment of "Best. Play. Ever." I don't think I've stopped grinning yet.  It was absolutely worth every penny.

Unfortunately, if you want to see it with Azaria (and maybe Pierce and Curry...?) you're going to have to wait until late November, as yesterday was the last show with the original cast until then. We win.  :p

DVD... I was thinking about that, because I'm definitely going to buy it. I'm sure there will be, if there isn't already.

David A: Damnyankee is one word.  Also, if I had meant the play, I'd have italicized it.
