Vicar of Dibley was a fantastic show, and still gets many repeats now, 9 years after its original production.

The gameshow you refer to may have been Big Break which was a great show too, so no slagging  :p

HIGNFY was once again fine this week. The presenters do seem perfectly able to read an autocue, but none seem to have the same smug brick personality that made Angus so successful originally. I say bring back Boris Johnson  :laff:

I haven't seen HIGNFY recently, not since Angus was kicked off. I just keep forgetting about it. I prefer Never Mind the Buzzcocks though- Phil Jupitus, Mark Lamarr and Bill Bailey are the best presenters anywhere!

Apart from that, I barely watch any TV any more. Creature Comforts on Sundays, I saw QI last week (which kept me amused) but barely anything else. Nothing else is worth watching as far as I'm concerned.

@Archie: Big Break was great! I remember watching it as a kid, and I enjoyed 'cause the jokes didn't go right over my head. I don't care what anyone says, Jim Davidson is a great comedian.

I'd love to see what the Americans would make of Phoenix Nights.  Frankly classic observational comedy on northern clubland life.

I doubt they'd be able to understand Peter Kay's Bolton accent.

I've got both seasons on DVD, and they're both fantastic.

Especially the extras.
