I've seen some little bits of this show, and to be honest, it looks terrible. The "I am going for it all! I am NEVER going to stop trying it on! WHEEEEEEE!" scene in a trailer for the show put me off entirely.

Well, it's not terrible. It's quite the opposite, actually. It's one of the best shows on American network television, and one of my personal favorite shows. I've been watching it since its premiere back in 2009, and I watch it every week. I also watch it some evenings, since it's now in syndication.

It looks cheesy to me. Whenever I catch a bit of it, it's always the mother facing toward the camera talking about something followed by some other unrelated clip while the same stock tune plays.

If you don't like the show then why are you even posting in here.  

I think the shows alright, I haven't seen too many episodes though so I can't really judge it. So far I don't think it's all that bad.

Well, he was on a forum primarily for a show he did like and he wasn't goung much out of his way to post it or anything so I'd say it's fine.  I also agree with stum in this case, this show doesn't look that great.
