that sounds so bad i wannna see it.

Continuing the Star Trek Wars from here, I believe that the worst Star Trek film will be the next one. It stands to reason that the Next Generation has been used up as far as plotlines go, which means that the next series to leap to the big screen will be DS9. Any film that tries to pick up where Patrick Stewart left off is going to suck, no matter how good it is.

I just think that he's got the best "Captain Voice" since Shatner. Infinite gravitas and poise, like pebbles being churned by the sea.

Paramount has stated that there are no new Trek films or series in the near future.  It is time for the francise to cool off.  The last two series, Voyager and Enterprise both sucked.  Paramount tried to build a network off these two shows and failed (is UPN even still on the air?).

DS9 ended in such a way as that it would be difficult to make a movie - Sisko killed in action, O'Brien back on Earth, Worf an Ambassator, etc.  Enterprise and Voyager didn't have enough fan support to warrent a movie, TNG's last movie stunk so bad until seagulls wouldn't come near it.  Two of the TOS main stars are dead and the rest are in their late 60's - early 70's.  Plus it would take a boatload of money to get William 'Denny Crane' Shatner's services.

No, a whole new Star Trek francise would have to be started, and I just don't think that the people are ready for that yet.  Maybe in another ten years, but not now.

You can't, and that's why I consinder Nemesis to be even worse, since ST V is at least funny (in an unintended way), but Nemesis isn't. It's just a huge mess and it also showed that the Star Trek franchise has indeed reached (if not exceeded) its natural lifespan.

DS9 was a good series, but it would never work as a movie.

What's redeeming about it? The bisexuality? The infidelity? The shitty songs? It's just offensive and boring.

Yeah, I don't need to see Tim Curry in suspenders. Ever.

Although Time Warp is an awesomely cheesy song.

*Do the Bump-man*

Now that it's been two years since the last update of this thread, there's been a lot of films released. Good time for a bumping.

My previous statement for worst film was "You Got Served". That has been officially passed by two films, both of which are, oddly, movie-musicals: "High School Musical" and "Rent". Just... wow. I can't stand either of these.

ANY movie made by michael bay besides the rock. pearl harbor, armagedon, are all pieces of shit. the only way either movie would be salvaged if the planes carrying the main characters at the end of both of them crash and kill all survivors.

Bored Idiot: I think me, you, BirthdayClown and Nurdy are the only ones that hated 300.

Every Uwe Boll film in it's own right is the worst movie of all time. Along with the MST3K classics: Manos: The Hands Of Fate andd Hobgoblins

Oh hell yeah. I hate 300, with a passion. I've read Gmod comics on PHW in the beginner section with better writing.

I also finally discovered that Jabootu moved site. I kept checking the old one for ages, hoping for a new review. I forgave them shorty for the disection of the shit fest that is Rocky IV.

High School Musical, the insanley over-hyped, shit movie forced upon us from every concievable angle, whether it be the movie itself being advertised in relentlessly repetitive campaigns non stop 24 hours a day every day, the merchandise which goes with it, mugs, cups, fucking spoons for crying out loud. The sing-along CD's (christ who needs them!) and the retarded follow-up which is sure to follow  :finger: fuck you, disney

I may perhaps have been the only one who has ever seen it on this board, but I really used to like the show Yu-Gi-Oh (go ahead, laugh, I was a kid/preteen, and the writing wasn't actually THAT bad most of the time for that type of show...at least it wasn't Pokemon!), so I did, even though I felt a bit old for it, go to see the Yu-Gi-Oh Movie when it came out.
My god have I ever been more repulsed by a movie? ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

This one may be a little old for some of you.  My vote for worst film of all time is "Plan 9 From Outer Space"

Film-maker Ed Wood made this film in 12 days for, like, $75 & a six pack of beer to each of the "stars".  Bela Lugosi, who was the lone "name" actor, and was reprising a Dracula like vampire character in the film (which he swore, on his grave, he would never do again), died 1/2 through filming.  They replaced him with someone on the set's Chiropractor, who went around covering his face with his cape for the rest of the film, so no one could tell it wasn't Lugosi. The plot makes no sense, the acting WAY over the top & terrible, the sets & effects were pathetic, the dialog absolutely laughable.

This movie is so horrifically bad, and is such an example of how NOT to make a film, that it's gained cult status and is shown in artsy movie houses for their featured attraction midnight Friday movie.

Plan 9 From Outer Space is probably the worst movie of all time but it's not the most hated. The most hated are Alien Vs. Pretador, The League Of Extraordinary, Battlefield Earth and let's not forget the greatest let down ever: Phat Girlz.

Actually I didn't find it that bad, I mean it can't have deep thought provoking moments because it's a Disney movie but it satayed true to the novel.

Didn't see those.  At least they had money in their budgets to spend.  If it really comes down to it, I'd have to say anything that comes from the catagory "Giant Insect 1950's Fear Films" could be the worst ever; I think the actors in those films had to pony up money themselves to get them made...
