I did a search and surprisingly didn't find a thread for this already.

Anyway for me its:

I always hoped Joe Pesci would show up on the show and finish him off.

Disagree (House/Hugh Laurie is awesome) and disagree...well, I am from St. Louis.

But I would like to add to the list almost any kid pop star...Hanna Montana/Molly Cyrus, Justin Bieber, etc

He will be one soon.
I'd put my vote to Ben Linus of Lost, and I'm pretty sure he was made to be detestable.

Why?  Why does everyone have a problem with him enough to wish him dead?  I'm not saying you should like his music.  There is plenty of music out there that I can't stand, but I don't think the artists should die.

Seriously, the jealousy coming off of your posts is readable.  Sorry a kid who is 16 is more talented than you?  He actually does sing, does play instrument, etc.  Its not like a Britney Spears remake who can not do anything on her own.

and really, is he getting that much into your life?  I work everyday with 5-13 year old's and he really doesn't come up that often.  So if you are always hearing about him, its probably something you are bringing on yourself.

There's a difference between jealousy and disliking someone very much.

I don't think he needs to actually die in reality (it's not like I know his true self)....and I am not jealous as well.  Many singers go through so much more crap than I would want to go through.  But I am sure there are people you see in life that you do not care for.  And if they get fake shot in a TV program, well then, that is all the more funny.

What? Ben and Locke were the 2 best things about that show. Kate was far more annoying, she was hot but was equally annoying. I'm not sure if I wanted to kill her or have sex with her, perhaps both.

That's a fair enough assessment.  But I think we should all be allowed to hate specific things with little to no reason sometimes.  And I think there is something prominently wrong with superstar celebrity children, such as you point out as Britney Spears and this Justin Beiber.  It's rather infuriating that most of their status as an idol (which is evil, idolatry is evil) are based on characteristics that aren't actually valuable.  I can almost guarantee that in this Beiber case, he is not celebrated on merit alone and that it is more about circumstance.  Well good for him.... none of us have to like that though.

Ultimately the things I pointed out above aren't actually the problem...  It's not this Beiber character's fault necessarily that he's famous; it's the people that propel his fame forward, and that's really society's fault.  We've built this society and continue to make it exist.... well... us and the other idiots we share it with.

The biggest tragedy about Justin Bieber is that he is actually extremely talented. The kid can drum like a motherfucker and plays guitar like some manner of champion, but they've got him doing this teen pop sensation bullshit. It's more of a waste than anything.

Anyway, I guess Sue Sylvester from Glee would be pretty detestable if the show's writing weren't so mind-bendingly uneven. Christ I don't know I don't even watch TV; why am I even here?

Ben was made to a douchebag the first couple of episodes, I'm not saying he didn't do much on the show.

He's not extremely good at anything; he's one of those well-rounded musicians that can be good at almost any instrument.

I'll readily admit that I'm instantly envious of anyone who can magically play all the instruments.

However, as YLB stated, it's apparent that he's not actually using any of those talents in his career.  Also, he makes more money in a day than I've made in my whole life, and that makes me feel like a loser... so I try to justify it by saying that society has fucked up values. :)

I guess I just don't understand the hate. Some people are stupid and like stupid things for stupid reasons. Sometimes the sun rises in the east and sometimes water even flows downhill. I think that to be a well-rounded musician is quite a talent and a gift, so I don't really know what you're trying to say. It just seems pointless to be angry about the fame of a sixteen year old boy with a dumb haircut.

KurtPikachu, I've never seen the Sopranos, but anybody who honestly thinks that Italian American family = mob family should be pretty easy to ignore on the basis of "they dumb".

To be honest, I wasn't actually aware he had any musical talent.  I've seen his posters at walmart and from what little information that I have about him, immediately assumed that he was like many other distinct musicians/groups who don't write their own songs which are mostly about crap.

And, I won't say that any of this anger is rational... but I think everyone should be entitled to a few irrational hatreds just because we're human.

Kind of like how one of my friends can't explain why he won't watch a movie with Nicholas Cage in it... he doesn't like Nicholas Cage and that's fine...

Agreed.  I'm sure a lot of people like Nicolas Cage, but that shouldn't make my hoping that he die in a fire started by the corpse of his mother being ignited by the Kardashian's SUV crashing into the cemetery where he's weeping openly any less justified.

Having an argument with your fake account again?  lol

I've seen his posters at walmart and from what little information that I have about him, immediately assumed that he was like many other distinct musicians/groups who don't write their own songs which are mostly about crap.

What ever happened to popular singers who write their own work?  I am more impressed with anyone who does.  It's easy to have a good voice and be a drone for an agency...it's another thing entirely to have the creativity to have an idea, write a song, and know what it means.

I would say Tony Soprano.   That show makes Italian American families seem like they're all like them.  Also, I hate anyone on Law and Order SUV...

I don't have any fake accounts.

Throughout time there have been people with talented voices who do not write their own music.  As well as people talented with musical instruments who do not compose.  I prefer people who write their own music as well, because if the music is at all serious, and many times even if it isn't, it is certainly sincere.  This would be the problem I have with pop music that is fabricated by a music industry that cares more about money than voicing the depths of the human condition; however, capitalism is itself a cemented foundation in life, perhaps even existence itself.

L&O isn't enjoyable silly! :p

Shoot him again!

He gets shot and is obviously falling straight down

Then he's standing upright getting shot some more

CSI  :laff:

Although I could watch Bieber get shot all day, might actually download that episode just for that scene.
