Billy West, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche--all in Showtime.com's Queer Duck. Rated TV14-D and all that, for the obvious stereotypical "gay" humor. While watching, think about the Futurama fananimations proposed elsewhere in PEEL...

Wha...what? You can't access these pages outside the US?!? What a crock! What, are they afraid of Holy Culture War or something? It's NOT like these things are sexually graphic.

Eps are Shockwave files averaging 1.5 MB each. If interested, I can e-mail a sample, or the whole series (seventeen eps so far and rising). UNLESS THAT'S A NO-NO here.

Also, you might--MIGHT--be able to access a sample at Atom Films.

Just Route thru a proxy server in the US. I can find a list for you.

Haha, yes! I love Queer Duck. He used to be on that icebox.com website before it went out of business(stupid internet). It's good to see him back, even if he is banned from you crazy non-USAicans.

"Queer Duck" is pretty good.  They need to bring back "Zombie College" though, that thing fucking rocked.  It was basically Futurama...with zombies.  John DiMaggio did the voice of the Bender-esque wisecracking zombie made of only a head and intestines.

Zombie College, eh. I know it was an Eric Kaplan thing, but I never got into it. Didn't seem that funny to me.

Fishy, did you know? Icebox is back! Well, sort of. It's a 25˘/episode pay-per-view thing now, always promising DVD releases that never seem to come.

Also, the first episode of Mishmash Media's Papü takes a hale and hearty swing of the sledgehammer at Icebox and its shows like Mr. Wong (which I'm sure Amy would not like), Queer Duck, and others.

Yeah I know, but who wants to pay for stuff? Not me.

I just watched Papu...eh. Jokes at the expense of poorly managed internet companies are funny, but that character seems lame. That animator/director guy should stick to working with Mike Reiss.

Mr. Wong was such a better show than this...

Granted... The strength of Papü is not so much its potential (or lack thereof), but the lengths to which the guy behind it is willing to go to lash out at his "enemies." Papü's destructive wail is funny, and you have to admit the Mr. Wong and Queer Duck parodies are cute (and mercifully short).

After seening the first two episodes of Queer Duck I think you can take "gay" jokes so far, then they start get lame and boring like this cartoon was in the middle of episode two.

It gets better, but of course it is not for all tastes. I love it when QD mixes it up with Jerry Falwell, the Klan, or Dr. Laura; Bi-Polar Bear's Paul Lynde imitation always cracks me up; QD's parents' blatant denial when he brings Openly Gator (ow) over for dinner is also giggleworthy to me. Oscar Wildecat is funny for just being there.

Mr. Wong was a nasty little howler for a while, but in the last several episodes it was clearly on the downside and gasping for air. If one can download and keep 'em, I highly recommend nailing the first few episodes--certainly "Urine Trouble" and "Yellow Fever" plus the music video. (Miss Pam is such a totally evil bitchzilla!) Avoid "Treasure Cat" and "Stand Up Wong" like the plague.

I'm surprised to hear someone say that. The second Queer Duck episode(where his nephew comes to visit) is the best one. But I haven't seen all of the episodes yet.

And how can you not laugh at funny animal names like KY Jellyfish and HIV Possum? It's sexy. And Jim J. Bulloch is awesome.

There are episodes that even a cast-iron-stomached old pervert like myself can't watch: The Gayest Place on Earth features a theme-park ride spoofing "It's A Small World" that makes Big Gay Al's Boat Ride look as dull and inoffensive as a board meeting. I have to shut it down every time I try to watch. Not that there's anything wrong with that!!

I heard "Zombie College" was sold as a pilot to Fox(Big surprise...).  Anyone know what happened there?  I've never watched ZC as I have a weak stomach, though I may give it a go ahead one of these days.  Who all does the voices?  Is JD the only Futurama VA in it?  Also, do you seriously have to pay to watch it? That sucks.

All questions will be answered, all fears will be dismissed, with a trip to the Icebox!

You can view an episode as many times a you want for 24 hours, for one measly quarter. (You have to sign up with a company called "AllCharge" for your password.)

I don't know if a viewed Shockwave file from this set-up would still be retrievable from one's Temporary Internet Files; if it is, well, then it's 25 cents per ep, period. (cough)

One episode from each series is free (and retrievable). The Zombie College sample is weird-looking--I thought the main character was himself a zombie, with his Klaus Kinski skull and big bug-eyes--but pretty amusing; one zombie attack occurs but it is not bloody, in spite of the fact that said zombie consists of a head...and digestive organs. The "hero" is an even bigger romance-idiot than Fry, and the zombie points this out to him before attacking.

Zombie College has one thing none of the other Icebox series have yet: you can get all twelve episodes on a CD for ten bucks.

Really?  On a CD?  Clool.
I was blubbering about ZC last night to one of my friends, going on and on about the similarities between L&F and Scott&Zelda, despite the fact that I've never seen a second of the show...  :)
