Tonight on BBC THREE(uk) we have "Brian Writes a Bestseller" and "Road to the North Pole" << IN MAY?!?!? God dam BBC THREE Only Road To The North Pole was shown, but I'll let them off as it's a double long ep. I've been looking forward to this one for a while, and it didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed it. From Brian's queue jumping at the beginning which led to a rather unfortunate situation, to Stewie wanting to kill Santa and proving Brian wrong. The funniest part was where Brian and Stewie tried to do Santa's job and deliver the presents, that led to some classic material. Second best ep of the season so far after Halloween on Spooner Street...

I wasn't aware that Road To The North Pole was a premiere or a finale, it was aired around Xmas originally I'd assume, so not at either end of the season. Your point has validation otherwise, but seeing as this ep is what caused you to raise that issue, it doesn't have any specific relevants to it...

I thought both eps last night were really good. Lots of humour and both pretty entertaining. I especially liked the joke Peter made about the crowd in the background who do nothing apart from move their eyes etc, that ranks up there with even some of Homer's greatest quotes (shame I couldn't remember the exact wording). Also, I found the previous weeks eps were ok; Brian writing a best seller was the better ep of the two as he was funny being an asshole to Stewie...

*BUMP*
So apparently in the next season of Family Guy Brian and Stewie are going to time travel again, but this time back to the very first episode of Family Guy. Sounds like a rather interesting concept; I wonder how it'll work out...

Um, American Dad is probably the highest quality of the three, but I find Family Guy funnier, and therefore better. I don't feel good about it, but what can you do ...

I will admit that Roger is ace. I loved his cameo in "It's A Trap". Also, I believe there's a Family Guy ep coming up which is a crossover and Roger is bound to be present, so again should be interesting. I agree that Family Guy isn't very subtle or clever, and the gay stuff, especially with Stewie is kinda annoying, but Family Guy as a whole is still funnier than American Dad is to me... I do like American Dad, don't get me wrong. I even find mild entertainment value in the Cleveland Show, although admittedly that's Seth’s worst creation to date (until The Flintstones remake comes out that is). As for his voice, he's an amazing voice artist, but his own voice? Never really noticed, but then I guess I wouldn't ...

Yeah, but the flashbacks (as cheap as they are) are often the funniest parts. Roger is great and all, but he can be a little annoying in large quantities I find... I really was disappointed we didn't see Francine in It's a Trap. I was really hoping she would be playing Oola (but then again that would mean her getting eaten by that darn Rancor.) She'll probably be in the upcoming Family Guy crossover ep though, so all is good ...

Yeah Stewie is my fave too, I also like Brian a lot too and Peter. Roger is up there though, yeah he's great. I cringe most when they play a random real life song in Family Guy that lasts like a few minutes, there's just no excuse for that ...

That's it! It goes from funny at first, then to painful, next to slightly funny again because of how ridiculous it is, and then I start to lose the will to live as it still shows no sign of stopping. There's also this one of Mick Jagger from the 80's I believe. All I can think is they're extremely lazy and will try to get away with whatever they can when they can't be arsed to write a full ep...

Yeah, it has its moments and I've gotta admit I like the chicken fights which last for like practically half an episode. Maybe I'm a bad person for liking them, but I just can't help it, they're so over the top ...

As hilarious as Family Guy is, I don't think it's fair to say that American Dad isn't as funny because of it's lack of cutaway gags. American Dad is easily as funny as Family Guy, it's just a different kind of humour to Family Guy's random cutaway gags and pointless Conway Twitty clips.
I'm just saying that I find Family Guy funnier and it's often the cutaway gags I find most funny. Sure American Dad is funny too, and Conway Twitty sucks, but I guess it’s down to preference. I like the dumber show more, go me!... I was watchig a syndicated rerun of American Dad and the digital cable info described the episode being about Stan and Lois
Dear god, it's as bad as Sky TV's Futurama descriptions ...

Family Guy sucks now!! It once went from a loop of an actual plot, some cutaway gags, good and well-built-in characters to no plot, constant cutaway gags, horrible and poorly-buitlt-in characters! There's virtually no effort whatsoever into Family Guy nowadays! None! Zero! Ever since I've found a decent sense of humor, I haven't seen the new episodes! Screw them! I've started watching good shows instead of poisoning my mind with MacFarlene's utter crap! Futurama, MST3K, Home Movies, etc, now those are good and creative shows! Family Guy has soooo lost its touch! It's dead to me now. As of the Cleveland Show, why pick the most boring character of the entire series for his own show?? It boggles the mind!! Why not Quagmire or Joe?? There's something called "logic", guys! I could care a fuckin less about that poorly done "spin-off"! What a way to get your shows canceled!

Yeah I quite enjoyed Road To Germany as well, even though I'm not usually into that era of history much. They found a way to make it entertaining and made it funny. Then again, I do rather enjoy all of the Road To eps in each ones own little way. Road To Multiverse being my favourite of course!...

Oh yeah, when Rupert got stolen and they went off and found him, made a bet to get him back but they lost the bet after having bet Brian. Then they just took Rubert back anyways ...

Hardly. Family Gay isn't entertaining at all. OOPS! "I'm sorry"! Family Guy. Silly me...
With a sense of humour like that, you'd know, right? I think Family Guy is better than American Dad overall. In their current states, American Dad is easily the better of the two, but when Family Guy was at its best, it was hilarious even if it was cheaply written. If you take it as a sketch show, it works. American Dad on the other hand is good, but it's rarely as funny as Family Guy has been. There are less bad episodes of American Dad, but to be fair, it hasn't been running as long as Family Guy yet and it also didn't have to deal with the hassle of being cancelled half-way through its run. Of course, The Cleveland Show is a steaming turd and I still can't get over how they took King of the Hill off the air to make room for it.
