I haven't seen the last two shows mentioned  (also who are those guys? ^^ weirdos, that's who!)
But I am enjoying new Bored to Death (Ted Danson), CSI (also has Ted Danson), Castle, Dexter, Community and House.
I look forward to the 3 other new Ted Danson shows coming soon!

I have a dumb question: is there enough interest in New Girl here to have a thread dedicated to it? I searched and couldn't find anything, but I don't want to create a thread if I'll be the only one posting.

I don't know what that is, but I'll post in it nonetheless.

Boardwalk Empire seems to be really strong this year.  It is even better than Season 1!

You can also watch Pawn Stars on Netflix. Oh, how I enjoy that show.

And I've been spending most of this weekend watching The Critic on DVD. I always forget how much I love this show, but it's pretty damn terrific. Definitely one of my favorites.

I just thought I would let everyone know that the programme I worked on when I was on my work placement at the BBC is on this week! (9pm, BBC Four, Thurs if anyone's interested). It's about Life magazine and its impact upon America. I scanned most of the images in! :D

Very cool.

Although I'm not very familiar with Life Magazine, so I can't imagine it's had too much of an impact on my country. :p

No but I bet the documentary will claim it did. Then skip to the bank with a check from Life.

It doesn't any more, it was mainly about the rise of photojournalism in America from the 30's to the late 70's, as well as the extent of the photographers went to to get stories and 'slices of life' from people all over the world. The industry declined with the introduction of television. Obviously I'm biased to the programme.

We have a pile of books published by Life about countries of the world... I suspect they are out of date as they might be older than me!

Also I don't think it was commissioned (or paid for) by Life, as far as I'm aware. Haha, I'm not surprised Tweek! (Those books might be worth something though!)

David Cross' new show, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Also has Will Arnett as his boss.

Watch it. Love it.

This. I just watched all 6 episodes of the first season twice! The second season just started on Friday. The series will end at 12 episodes, so don't get too attached.
Love it. Watch it.

Funniest thing about watching television produced before the PBS era is about the attention to morality which respinsible producers agreed to.

Not saying that todays television show have abandoned that, it is however a unique dynamic of the time.

That episode confused me so much until the end. I really thought that Liz was pregnant and that was the source of her odd character.

Also, the last scenes reminded me of a Wes Anderson film in their cinematography. And I couldn't help but feel that Jack's heart broke a little at the end.

Did anyone see the Horizon episode Playing God last night? Pretty awesome stuff about synthetic biology, they had some cool stuff on it:
- like the spider-goat, the goat that has spider web proteins in its milk
- the bacteria that secretes diesel fuel
- and the cyborg mouse that's controlled by light pulses through a fiber optic cable stuck to it's neurons
- the sub-dermal implant for astronauts that releases radiation healing bacteria

SCIENCE! \o/

*Too lazy to bump the thread*. I really like Liz's new boyfriend, but I have a bad feeling that he's going to last until the next episode and then be gone like all the others. And I'm still peeved at how little development there actually was for Liz's relationship with Carol (Matt Damon), I wanted those two to work out so bad. Carol wasn't stupid, like Liz's current boyfriend, he was just too much like her. But I loved them together!

Correct if I'm wrong (as I am eager to learn Cyber_Turnip), but wouldn't the apostrophe just tell the possessiveness of the pets. Perhaps our grade schools were very different...
