No, you said Spaniards aren't white. Don't try to get out of this one. He's from the Canary Islands. That's in Europe, not Mexico. Hispanics/Latinos as you know them are a mix between European Iberians and Native Americans. Spaniards are more closely related to the Portuguese, French, and Italians. This is especially true after over 500 years of breeding with the natives of the Americas. Ergo, he's European and white, like the rest of the remaining cast other than Miles and Hurley. And an actual Spaniard on this board said you were wrong! If you had actually looked at this profile rather than making a baseless assumption, you would've found out that he's from Oviedo, a city in northwestern Spain, not the United States. Latino is an ethnic group of the Americas. Not Europe. It has nothing to do with the color of your skin! Being Caucasian is racial, just like being African or Asian. Here's a dandy chart to help you out: And, as history and I have already told you, Hispanics and Latinos are a mix between European Iberians (Basque on that chart) and Native Americans. On the census, it asks first for your race. It lists White, Black, American Indian, Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Other Asian, Native Hawaiian, Guamanian, Samoan, Other Pacific Islanders, and Some Other Race. Note that it does not list the ethnic group Hispanic or Latino. On the census, you check as many as apply, not simply one. Somebody who is Hispanic of Latino can't merely select that as the answer to this question, they have to e White Hispanic, Black Hispanic (like Dominican), Asian Hispanic (some Filipinos identify as this), etc. Then, a second questions is do you have Hispanic or Latino origins, and you select whether you do or which origin you have (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, etc.). You can't merely say your race is Mexican. It's not a race, it's an ethnicity. It's like saying that being French is a race. In conclusion, Richard is white. If you won't believe what I've said here, believe Javier Lopez, WHO IS SPANISH!

Says Kristin Don Santos. She also said a lot of false information (following is from the renaming of MIB's page on Lostpedia): Kristin was wrong. Watch the video where she revealed Samuel was his name in that post-finale Q&A. She answered fan questions from the audience and got answers wrong time and again. She said Samuel was the MIB's name. No that was for the casting call. She said that John Terry voiced the "help me" line in the Cabin. No that was Carlton Cuse. She said that line happened in the same episode we saw Christian on the rocking chair - no they were different episodes. She said it was John Terry's eye in the cabin, no it was Simon_Elbling. This is just the stuff i remember her getting wrong in that ONE VIDEO. Seriously i would trust Kristen as far as i could throw her She's not even related to the show! She's just a writer for E! Online. I don't trust it.

But who brought them to the island? Mother was already there, how'd she get there? Who told them the island was so special in the first place?
The Romans? I assumed the Island had moved itself to the Mediterranean or North Atlantic and the Romans stumbled upon it or crashed into it. How Mother got there was never explained. It's assumed she's been there for a very long time and that she was told by her predecessor of the Island's specialness. Or she was the first protector of the Island and was told by a god/the God. Or she was a goddess/the God and inherently knew.

I just love how people can talk about the afterlife with such certainty "NOO, it happens like THIIISS!!!1" It doesn't have to happen lyk dis if it's part of a fictional story. But I expect fictional stories to answer a few more questions. They should have been able to do 7 seasons. Lucky number 7. Did somebody answer this already? Why do they have to try and help people remember their lives in 'purgatory' and how do they all know to go meet at the church in the end? Did they remember in the order they died? How come Jack had a random son in purgatory land? WUT. Do they just invent the lives they want there? Yay Sun really wanted to get shot in purgatory Also why have a church, if they're going to invent their own views on life and death, they shouldn't need a generic church. The whole mystery stuff is just lost (haw) in that ending. They had all those special features about The Dharma Initiative and such and it seemed fun and exciting...all that seems so irrelevant now and it's sad.

I really liked the ending.. nice and mystical and I loved the twist of the assumed alternate reality turning out to be the afterlife. My friends hated it... I think they got too caught up in the details to enjoy the overall themes of the show. Bit of a slow season overall, even if it ended brilliantly... I liked the temple for it's freakiness, but like last season, the bit in the middle just dragged. Still, it was a damn good TV show, not often that a show with as much thought put into it as Lost comes along. It was a good 6 years.
