I honestly didn't know until Tuesday when somebody told me it wasn't going to be on that night. The preview for the next episode last Tuesday made it seem like it would've been this Tuesday. Then again, I could've just not noticed the date on the promo, but I'm positive it never said "Lost will be back in two weeks".

I was very upset when: KATE DIDN'T DIE!!!!!! GOD DAMMIT, ALL I WANT ON LOST IS FOR HER TO STOP WASTING SPACE AND DIE ALREADY!!!!!!
I mean, look at the final four flight survivors. Jack wants to stay on the Island, Hurley's listening to whatever the ghosts tell him, and Sawyer wants to get off the Island. They all have pretty good motives. What's Kate's motive right now? ... Exactly, she has none! At least Sun and Jin had something to go to back home (a little thing that we had a whole minor arc about: a baby), Kate has nothing! And you'll say "what about Claire?!" Well, Claire's going to die next episode. She's been following other people around for the last half season and has no motive anymore, she's just wasting space too.
Which brings me to another revelation: if we count Frank among the dead (which I'm doubtful of), that means that all the "main" characters without fully-devoted flashbacks are dead and all the characters introduced after Season 3 are dead. And all the plane survivors are dead except the 5 listed in the last paragraph, Walt, Rose, Bernard, and Vincent. Speaking of which, what the hell happened to Rose and Bernard after the hydrogen bomb time warp? They weren't in the immediate blast radius, but they were still unstuck in time. Are they in the 70's or in the jungle? Anyway, my point is that Desmond, Ben, and Richard are too much fan favorites for them to merely kill them off before the finally. Sure, we knew Sun and Jin from the beginning, but was I the only one that Jin had to grow on? I mean, he was a complete douche at first! And Sayid had no emotional attachment anymore due to him going to the dark side this season; he had no motives anymore. Miles is the only major character left that we didn't know until a while in and we don't have much emotions vested in right now. We haven't seen him in a while and we don't really know what his motive is at the moment. Of all the remaining characters, I wouldn't be surprised if Miles and Claire are capped off before the finale. I really was happy when Kate got shot, but now I'm sad because it seems she won't die. THE BULLET'S STILL IN HER AND SHE'S SOMEHOW FINE?!?! But anyway, Desmond won't die. They won't be bitches. And they won't kill Richard off so soon now that we have a vested emotional interest in him from a recent episode. Sawyer, I think he might die in the finale, just a funny feeling. He's always been the one that's been fine with being a martyr of the remaining, so why should he stop now?

Anyone else have a small moment of "OMG YAY" when Kate got shot? She spun around and went down like so many fans had hoped... then was still alive... *sigh*... Also, Hurley crying = sad. Actually, that whole thing... verge of lousy tears the whole time. Damn you Lost wait wait wait... Did Lipidus die too?? No wai not even a real death scene for him! Nooooo.... maybe he'll swim ashore next week all messed up? Fingers crossed. Also - why did nobody get the bends from resurfacing from the sub so quickly? And... could that bit of water be really so deep that they're 5 minutes from the surface?? Then swim out and survive? Uhmmm yeah I don' tknow if that's so realistic. Wahhh. Emotional.

With Jin, I was saying that in some regards I hadn't fully become able to like him because of his initial douchitude. His death shocked me, yes, but I don't feel his death would have as much of an impact on the audience as if Desmond dies. Some people might not fully like Jin, some might not have an emotional connection to him. I for one was becoming sick of the storyline for him and Sun for the last two seasons being "zomg where are they?!?1?!/!" like how Claire's only been like "baby ate my dingo!!!!11!!" And when he was in the past, he felt like he wasn't doing much to develop his character, it felt more like the "oh, well, Jin's here, we might as well use him..." kind of a deal. Of the main cast left at that point, I felt like the three who died were the most likely to be sacrificed by the writers and producers. However, that still doesn't get over the fact that Kate just needs to die already. I've hated her since Season 2 and she has no purpose anymore. Just get rid of her already and save us all the trouble.
I just don't believe that the bullet would just go right through her, any1else. It feels like too much to suspend. Sure, Locke having a bullet go through him where he didn't have a kidney made a little sense because, well, he didn't have a kidney there. But I thought where Kate got shot there were organs that some may say are just a little bit vital, like, say, you know, a lung and the heart. If it were a little higher then I could've suspended disbelieve and said "oh, it went through that part between the ribs and shoulder, but that looked like a kill shot to me.
It looked extra fake because there were no marks on Locke at all from the shots. No fancy CGI showing the bullets going through his nanocloud, no marks on his clothes, nothing. It made it look like the guards were just horrible shots.

Anyone notice how Claire's hair is the worst compared to the other girls'? What were Kate and Sun using that Claire couldn't get on the island I wonder. Perhaps hanging around Flocke so much and he gives off a lot of static electricity. Lost writers, answer pls!

I read somewhere they were speaking Latin...
All the old island people spoke latin (like when they asked that cryptic question about who was standing in the shadow, or whatever it was? That was Latin. Wasn't it??)
I agree... Smokey isn't MIB. Smokey is a completely independant entity and took over MIB's body after he died in the light hole. So, who/what is Smokey? How far back do we go!
Daww Adam and Eve - yeah. Righto.
I kept thinking how left of field it was that Jacob kept harping on to fake-mother about how much she loved MIB more than him. I never saw any impression of that, at all. Paranoooiiid. But really, it came across to me that when MIB was born he was completely unexpected. Real-mother didn't even know she was going to have twins, she didn't have a name picked out. And fake-mother didn't expect a second baby to be born either... how does this all play into the story... I haven't figured that out yet... it leaves too many questions right now for me..
Some people speculate that MIB's name will be Aaron. And will somehow tie together that way... with the mother abandonment, and being brought up by others... etc..
Ehhhh SO MUCH TO TAKE IN... but seriously, only 3 eps left and we spend a whole 42 mins on this episode? Now?? Yeerkk... hurry up Lost!
