Oh, it is true!  I have become quite hooked on Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You and Quite Interesting (or just QI).

And there is no real thread for these shows!  So I thought I ought to create it.

QI is definitely one of the BEST shows ever, just the last XL episode of Series G (Greats) had so many fantastic jokes

though there need to be more Bill Bailey episodes!

Most certainly.  QI really is quite interesting.  Stephen Fry is a brilliant choice as host.  I cannot think of a more appropriate host.

Have I Got News For You ftw, Irish TV actually tried to copy it recently and it's disastrously bad.

The ultimate fake game show is I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue on Radio Four, you don't even get told the score. It isn't as good as it was before Humph died though :(

Love that show. I miss it far too often though.

Anyone for a game of Mornington Crescent? I'll start.

Warren St?

It was a great shame that Humph died, though I do think if there's anyone that come anywhere close to emulating him then it would be, in my mind, Jack Dee. He's there for season 2, I kinda hope he stays there.

I've caught a few clips of Mock the Week, and it is pretty darn funny.

Warren St?

Vauxhall (shouldn't have started on the northern line really).

I found this today, and I am hooked. For those unfamiliar with it I suggest giving a random episode a go, but you don't have to go back to 1972 like I have. That's assuming it works in other parts of the world.

Just to stay on topic I feel the need to say that I do love the shows in the title as well, especially all of them. Paul Merton, Frankie Boyle, Stephen Fry. How can any shows with them in them possibly be bad.

Such a shame Frankie Boyle retired.  I wanna hear more about Scotland!

We still have Hugh Dennis, all is not lost.

So when Dara says "this game is for aviary un" (or something like that) you get he means everyone?

I love Mock The Week and QI, mostly.  QI is the best show on TV.  Mock always makes me giggly, especially "scenes we'd like to see..."

Also, one of my favourite moments comes from the 2nd "too hot for TV" DVD:

Ed Byrne: "People say that Princess Diana was so great because she used to shake the hands of AIDS victims.....  Freddie Mercury used to fuck them!"

Frankie Boyle's departure from MTW has really brought out the insufferable twatishness of Russell Howard. At least they have an extra chair for more guests now though.

Ah, it's good to see Have I Got News For You back on the air, especially now that this QI series have ended.  And I still demand the XL episodes of the two last episodes!

There's still one more compilation show for QI coming, no?

Well, yes.  But I could do with some XL episodes as well.
