Because it was made before 9/11 back when it was ok to make fun of Muslims just like everybody else.

Frisco, that doesn't explain why they were able to air the episode. Comedy Central has been very strict about not airing the episode since it became a problem to show Muhammad, and even had the episode recently removed from being able to stream on southparkstudios.com. Why would Australia, a country infamous for strict censorship, be airing it?

probably the same reason it aired without much fuss when it first came out, no one noticed he was in it

Why would Australia, a country infamous for strict censorship, be airing it?
Tv censorship is actually pretty lenient here compared to most places. The question is, did he see it on free-to-air or foxtel? I'm pretty sure Foxtel just have every episode on a permanent daily rotation so current events and world issues don't really factor into whether or not an episode goes to air. Free-to-air is a different story, though. I know they've banned/temporarily shelved a few episodes before.

ANYWAY, it's been far too long since I posted here, so, my thoughts on Season 14!

Sexual Healing
Loved it. I haven't laughed my ass off like this at South Park in quite a while, I was pissing myself the whole way through it. And I really missed retarded anticlimaxes like this. The joke with the Tiger Woods game got a little stale but other than that, it was great.
8.5/10

The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs
A few good ideas, the plot was kinda all over the place though and the vomit thing got old fast. Matt and Trey seriously need to learn to stop running their jokes into into the ground. Still, it had its moments.
6.5/10

Medicinal Fried Chicken
A lot of repetitive jokes but for some reason they never got dull for me, the image of Randy and the men bouncing around on their giant scrotums made me laugh every damn time, it's just plain genius. Cartman's sub-plot could've done with a bit more work but it was very entertaining for what it was. A super funny episode just a little shy of being brilliant.
8/10

You Have 0 Friends
The Facebook jokes were just spot on, they summed it up fucking perfectly and the way people were acting about it was hilarious. A bit anti-climactic at the end but I guess that was the joke. One of my personal favourite episodes.
9/10

200
I get weary when the show goes into callback mode, especially since that was virtually the entire idea of this episode, but they did it so fucking well - taking old plots/gags and reworking them into a giant monster plot (pun not intended), this has to be one of the most consistently funny episodes I've ever seen, I must've laughed out loud about every 20 seconds. Best bit must've been the shots during the Cartman/Mitch Connor scene in the alley - having him go out of focus depending on which way Cartman was holding his own hand? GENIUS. And all the jokes about how they could possibly show Muhammad, the return of Mr. Hat, the new-look Mecha Streisand, etc. Matt and Trey truly outdid themselves here. Until...
9.5/10

201
This is perhaps the biggest shame in the history of show. Not the episode itself, no, there were some moments I'm sure I would have laughed at if I weren't so fucking enraged with Comedy Central watching it (except for SeaMan saying "Swallow, come!" That's funny no matter how angry you are!) but, as far as I'm concerned, I don't know what this episode is like because I still haven't fucking seen it yet. Yes, as we know, Matt and Trey received death threats after "200." They still stuck by their work, churned out this episode and didn't cave into threats of terrorism. Comedy Central, on the other hand, decided to butcher it to shit, beeping out all MENTION of the word "Muhammad" and censoring the entire "I learned something today" speech at the end, which was apparentally about fear and intimidation. Comedy Central are fucking pussys and hypocrites, and if I were Matt and Trey, I'd have quit immediately after this episode was slaughtered by them.
RATING N/A
(I did like the rest of the episode but I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD to judge it... if this episode ever makes it uncut to DVD, that is)

Crippled Summer
Timmy/Jimmy episodes have always been pretty average and this was no exception. A few funny jokes towards the start but it was pretty much just the same 2 ideas being rammed down our throats the entire episode. Fucking love Towelie but the last two Towelie episodes have been absolute shite. This was a disappointing episode to finish such a solid run with.

Side note: In the last Rush tour supporting their album "Snakes & Arrows", their concerts began with a special South Park short:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrejJHPnVfk&feature=related

The concerts didn't begin with that clip. They played that clip before they played Tom Sawyer, which wasn't the opening to the show, in fact it was near the end of the set.

I know because I saw them on that tour.

In the new Rush Bio, there's an interview with one of them.  Apparently, they all share the same kind of ideas about creativity.  Plus, the South Park guys apparently are huge Rush fans.

I'm a latecomer to this thread, so I'll catch up with my thoughts on the first half of season 14:

Sexual Healing
Lame. On par with the vast majority of season 12 which just isn't good South Park. Still good TV though.
6/10

The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs
Much stronger than the previous episode. A lot of good to be found in this one.
7/10

Medicinal Fried Chicken
The best episode since Fishsticks. Made me begin to think that South Park might be making a comeback in quality after a dissapointing season 12 and 13.
8/10

You Have 0 Friends
Not particularly accurate in my experience of Facebook and never quite reached the epic levels of scope I was hoping for. Not bad though.
7/10

200
Incredible. The best episode since the Imaginationland trilogy. I couldn't wait for part 2 all week which took me back to how I used to feel about South Park. Hilarious and awesome for long-term fans of the show.
9/10

201
A massive step down in quality from 200, but still a very good, fun episode. Some great gags and the plot was as fan-wankingly awesome as ever, although more things seemed crammed in for the sake of it, rather than to compliment the storyline than in the first part.
8/10

Crippled Summer
Clearly an amalgamation of leftover ideas cobbled together quickly whilst the South Park crew focused on the controversy of the 200 saga. And whilst it had nothing in the way of plot, I found it funny in a stupid way. Far from South Park's best, but also far from its worst.
7/10

All in all, a very impressive run given my distaste for seasons 12 and 13.

I loved 'You Have 0 Friends', it shows how people make Facebook so important and if you're not a friend on Facebook then you're not a friend in real life. I loved the whole importance Farmville. I felt sorry for the kid with no facebook friends, thats one thing I love about South Park, they can make you pfeel sorry for a cartoon. Anyway I rate that one at 7/10!

I seen the funniest thing (for me). The episode were the three people came into the school for a demonstration about not smoking, it was so good the way they showed how they think they're cool and 'down with the kids'. Then at the end of it, they say something like "So, don't smoke if you want to be like us!" Then it cuts to the four smoking as fast as they can. Ha Ha!

New South Park episode was...very meh. Some pretty funny parts, but over all the episode was completely forgettable. The end was probably the biggest disappointment, an unusual "joke continues over the credits a little" instead of the classic joke then quick cut to credits and theme song.

I think the only really interesting thing about this episode is that it didn't do the expected and mock NASCAR and its fans for being poor and stupid, as much as it mocked the mainstream perception of NASCAR and its fans as being poor and stupid.

There were a few funny moments, but mostly this one wasn't very good at all.  There wasn't the usual South Park cleverness here, but instead a bunch of forced vagina jokes.  They've done that so much before and usually much better.  Hopefully the next one will be better!

This week's episode was really great, I'm always a fan of the Die Hippie, Die/Night of the Living Homeless-type episodes.

In fact, I'm quite pleased with South Park in general recently. Season 13 and season 14 (so far) have been really good, much better than season 12...
