Men in Black II!

Oh, yes, this thread is for various upcoming movie trailers to discuss.

I, for one, am suddenly extremely excited about seeing this movie.

Looks really good to me too.  They filmed a portion of this movie at a local beach here on Long Island.  My friends saw Smith and Jones there, but they weren't allowed to go anywhere near them.

I'm too lazy to get a link, but has anyone seen that Scooby Doo trailer? It is hands-down the best thing ever. And it contains the classic line "we're here....to solve....a my-stery?", perfectly delivered by Sarah Michelle Buffy.

I totally agree.  Buffy fits the character of Daphne so perfectly in this weird way.  Freddy and Velma were kind of weird, but I liked Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby.
Since this is a thread for trailers, any one seen the trailer for "Eight Legged Freaks"?  It looks like an interesting movie.  I read a quote from one of the head honchos on it and they said it was a kind of parody of all those dumb monster movies which flopped in the 80s and early 90s (The kind you always saw on MST3K).  Maybe I'm just a sucker for giant spider movies, but this is probably the movie I'm looking forward to the most this summer, after Scooby Doo and Spider Man of course.  :)

A couple of good-looking film trailers I saw a while back: Scotland, PA, No-Man's Land, and The Bread, My Sweet (a film by my roomate's aunt, in beautiful Pittsburgh).

Oh, come now. It combines the best of A Very Brady Sequel (campy 70s icons transplanted to modern times as the basis of an hour-and-a-half-plus script) with the best of The Phantom Menace (a wholly digital character that jabbers and flails and does pratfalls and poop jokes). So you see...OWWWWWW! Stop with the hitting!!!

Signs

I hate to make fun of this, because I like that M. Night guy. But geez, I hate those commercials, where at the end the girl says "There's a ghost outside my window daddy, can I have a drink of water?" or whatever the hell she says.

Is that supposed to be THE trailer shot that's going to get everybody talking? It's just a really juvenile version of "I see dead people". Will M. Night Shyamalan continue this trend? Will the next money shot in the trailer be a little kid saying "I see the boogey man, and he just made a poopie!"?

I think I speak for the american public when I say damn it, I hope so.

The Two Towers fan trailer is great. 3 minutes and 30 seconds of incredible scenes such as the battle at Helm's Deep(amazing)and new characters such as Treebeard, Grima and Eowyn. I think you can find that trailer at http://www.movie-list.com

The Minority Report Internet Exclusive trailer looks pretty good and has me looking forward to seeing the movie Sunday. I enjoyed the PKD short story, so it'll be interesting to see how it translates to the big screen.

Also, the trailers for the two new Matrix movies were great, some people were more excited for those than the Star Wars movie that followed the trailers.

Not another Bond movie! An actual Bond would be an old coot right now. He's had so many injuries he should be laid up for years. He's lost his realism. They should kill him off. Then all his women can go to his funeral and duke it out with each other over who was his "girl" :)

Can Brosnan do another Bond after Die Another Day or will they get someone else?

Does anyone know who the next Bond will be?

Jim Carrey would be cool.    :laff:
He should do a spoof of Bond actually.

EDIT: Oopsie, he will be doing a 5th one but probably not a 6th. Here's the Die Another Day trailer page: http://www.jamesbond.com/bond20/features/feature_07.php

Also a few movies coming out I just heard about:
Batman: Year One
Star Trek X: Nemesis
Fast & The Furious 2 (still have to see the 1st)
And a few I'm looking forward to:
The Matrix: Reloaded
X2 (X-Men 2)
Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines
Indiana Jones 4
Superman IV

What? there's already a Superman IV?
Oopsie, my bad, I could have sworn there were only 3 of em!

What happened in the last one?
Was that the one with Richard Pryor and the Evil Twin Superman?

Well there's a new Superman on the way anyways.

Nope, that was III. IV was the one with Nuclear Man and "Ducky" from Pretty in Pink as Luthor Jr.

Which is probably why you don't remember it.

I think we've had enough of those... and Bond movies are really just a parody of themselves anyway.

I haven't seen the new Bond trailer but does it have some bad guy saying "You are going to die today, Mr Bond!" then Bond replies "No, I'll die another day!"

Just a thought.

Eight-Legged Freaks looks considerably less boring than their version of Godzilla, but Dean Devlin and Ronald Emmerich--Not directing this time! Good move, guys!--still can't come up with an original idea. But another good idea: instead of ripping off an established "classic" with a still-strong following (Star Wars' Death Star battle for Moon 44, about four movies for Stargate, Earth vs The Flying Saucers for Independence Day and The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms for Godzilla), they decided to rip off a punk dud (MST3K classic The Giant Spider Invasion). If I can get past David Arquette, it might be good.

EDIT: The 8LF trailer that parodies Spider-Man is pretty kickass, I have to admit.

There's a new trailer of The Two Towers and its just a great as the fan trailer. I think this new trailer will be attached to Austin Powers.
Superman 4 failed miserably. It only did 15 millions in the box office.
