Cool?? It was outstanding.
A look into each person's perspective and relationship with other members of the group.

Troy's story was so awesomely innocent and boyish. I loved it so much, and Annie's view of Britta in her story was sooo totally accurate. Amazing.

And lets not forget Abed's humming, and Troy's mini dance. I literally peed a little at that point.

outstanding.

I liked everything about the episode except for the end where the point out that Abed is the only one who's not insane.

I feel like that was sort of an in-joke of the show already, that we all know Abed is the sane one...they kind of ruined that by directly saying it.

Halloween episode is my favourite from Season 3 so far, that was fantastic. Season 2 is still trumping it overall right now.

I love this show a lot; Annie is my favourite character, but they're all definitely amazing. They always find inventive ways to tell a story. (Like the dice roll episode; I cannot tell you how hard I laughed.)

I made a compilation of my favourite episodes to watch, and settled down to watch them over this weekend.  If I was going to recommend Community (and I would), I'd start them on these gems:

Season 1:

3. "Introduction to Film"
7. "Introduction to Statistics"
9. "Debate 109"
17. "Physical Education"
21. "Contemporary American Poultry"
23. "Modern Warfare"

Season 2:
6. "Epidemiology"
9. "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design"
11. "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas"
14. "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons"
21. "Paradigms of Human Memory"
23. "A Fistful of Paintballs" (Part 1)
24. "For a Few Paintballs More" (Part 2)

Season 3:
2. "Geography of Global Conflict"
4. "Remedial Chaos Theory"
5. "Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps"

There are omissions, I'm sure.  Beginners Pottery, Cooperative Calligraphy, Intermediate Documentary Making and Advanced Criminal Law would be bubbling under.

Books said the same thing the other day,

""The last new episode of Community earned a paltry 3.5 million viewers; Big Bang Theory scored 15.9 million. "

 Disgusting."

But yes, this show is incredibly under-appreciated :(

After finishing many a show that I felt I needed to see, i found myself stumped as to what to watch next.  Then I remembered the wise words spoken during a BBQ in the rain "you all need to watch Community" and lo the bearded wonder was right on the money. Although I feel a little ashamed of myself for not realising Annie was in Man Men until they made the Don Draper reference.

I really hope this hiatus does not mean cancellation but at least we can be sure there will be some kind of meta reference one way of the other.

That Don Draper bit is fantastic....  Physical Educucation is a great showcase for Abed, especially when he goes after the girl as the Vampire version of himself...

I still crack up at that.

As for recent shows, #anniesmove was awesome (the Kiss From A Rose montage on its own shows why this show is amazing), and Documentary Redux was fantastic, Jeff as Dean Pelton just hilarious.

I've not seen it yet, will give it a crack over the weekend.  Judging by Twitter it's another one to rank high (season three's been a very high standard, so far....)

All the xmas episodes have been good, I loved the first one, with all the fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh..... ting, (dammit).

So I read the AVClub periodically and one continuing thing I see in the comments for reviews for TV shows is the gist of "This show sucks, I'm gonna talk/whine about Community". Now I've only watched one episode of Community, and I did like it, but I am really turned off by these fans who troll other TV shows. I understand that the mid-season replacement thing is a serious problem, I don't think bitching about it however is gonna help. To the fans here: what are your thoughts on this pandemonium?

It's probably just because all community fans continue to be amazed that community isn't as popular and watched as it should be. I mean, even here community is on at sunday at like 5pm..who is watching tv then in the first place? And yet when people are watching tv, we're left with shitty reality shows and just plain dumb comedies..also glee..that's the worst..

Anything in pop culture that inspires obsession will have many, many terrible fans. Community is an incredibly funny show that rewards devotion, layering on the callbacks, in-jokes and easter eggs that took three years to set up, so it's got more than its fair share of crazy fans. Especially on the AV Club, which is like a Community fan clubhouse. Just remember that the quality of a show can be better than the idiocy of its followers.

Exactly!

I can't say I've ever been to the AV Club, and from the initial post, I can't say I would.  I'm a little uncomfortable with the opinion that other shows which aren't Community suck, by definition because they're not Community.  As in times where shows suffer the hardship of messing by the networks, then a certain amount of solidarity should take place, by rallying to the cause of saving a truly wonderful show.

Let's face it, as Futurama fans, this is a pain we know all too well.

Moving along, I watched Regional Holiday Music, and again, it's another to add to the ever increasing canon of truly great Community episodes.  The long standing digs at Glee have been building to this, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

I particularly enjoyed the Britta/Jeff/Body Snatchers scream bit....  Loved that.  And Troy and Abed's "Christmas Infiltration" rap was fan-bloody-tastic....

Might I suggest Whitney or that Chelsea show? If you don't enjoy The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, and Community, those 2 shows might be for you.  :)

I finally started watching Community. I love the show, but I want to punch Shirley's voice in its stupid face. Ugh.

I wasn't really into 30 Rock at first, but after about 6 episodes I was hooked! :) Try 30 Rock from the beginning, it's the best show of the lineup!
