Well I hate TV! there is nothing on it. Its just a horrid waste of time. (This is why i refuse to spend any money and buy one at the moment) There is rarely anything on that i watch. I watch Futurama, and sports. Nothing else. ok ok ok I some times watch MTV when im at a friends dorm or at home but i really cant just sit and watch tv.. every thing is just so bad and unentertaining.

i really do though!! I get so frusturated when im around a TV and nothing is on... I guess i just have a short Attention span so i get really bored watching it. I would rather work out or sleep or surf the web or pull out my own teeth when it comes to daytime TV. I mean every so often there will be somthing worthwile on but that is Rarely more than once a week (Sundays at 6 or Thursdays at 8:30) Even with sports there are only usually a few good games on a month, Football season is the time for me, I can watch TV all day.. just cause its football. After that there is just so little on other than futurama, ill catch the occasional Laker game, or Zona game, or the Dodgers, but other than that I hardly like what is on TV.

I am taking a class on TV (Com arts 351) and the more I hear about it the less I like it which is the complete opposite of the Film classes I take, the problem is the shows that do well are ALWAYS original, but the networks seem to always choose shows that are nothing more then rip offs of other shows.

To me the ads seemed like the "I wish I was Drew Carry" show. (spelling?) Wasn't there also a show (I think on FOX) where a guy had a talking dog puppet that only would talk to him. He lived in his basement or something. I give Greg the Bunny 2 Seasons.

Okay, here comes BBT, Queen of Watching Crappy Television. I have seen A LOT of crummy TV in my time. I'm a sucker for mid-season shows, so here's what I've seen and my assessment of it. Watching Ellie- Part "Caroline in the City", Part "24", this show is all crap. I mean, what the heck is the point of the show? I can't even take it seriously because of that stupid clock at the bottom of the screen. Baby Bob- The dumbest show I have ever seen in my life. 'Nuff said. Leap of Faith- A bad "Sex and the City" rip-off. It was okay for the first fifteen minutes, but the main girl freaks me out. She looks too much like someone I know. I only saw one episode, but one ep is enough. Andy Richter- I didn't see all of it, but it looked really dumb. I'd rather be watching Elimidate for the rest of my life. And finally and most importantly... Greg the Bunny- Okay, maybe it's the head cold talking, but I actually liked this show. Maybe I just like seeing Seth Green and Jim's Dad. And Greg's just so freakin' cute! They were all cute! Sure, the storyline's incredibly lame. But I liked the "Snowball" song. Anyway...

Well, I agree with Theta. Baby Bob can't last long, otherwise people will wonder why 10 years has gone by and he's still a baby. From what I heard, he doesn't sound much like one anyway. Of course for some strange reason, it works for the Rugrats. I've not seen Greg the Bunny. I'm still getting over why it was created in the first place

Saw the first part of Greg the Bunny last night... the jokes were weak, very weak. Could have been much better.

I think one reason it works for RugRats is that they can use animation to do things you could never do (or things that would be hideously expensive to do) in live action like have the babies imagine themselves in the story of Passover. Does anyone remember the short-lived "Look Who's Talking" TV Series? Sure the parent's never heard the baby's talking, but it's the same concept. IIRC, towards the end of that show you could tell the "baby" (now a toddler who for some reason was still talking in "baby talk" ) was actually talking and they were just removing what he said. Baby Bob might be good for a season with some good writing but basing the whole premise on "baby can talk" will get old around the time the baby should actually begin talking. Either that or every season Baby Bob would look slightly different as they replace "aging" babies with younger ones. After all, you can't have a two-year old baby Bob.

The only part I really laughed at in that Greg the Bunny ep. was the last part. "Aw, look at that kid smiling." "Now he's foaming at the mouth." "One kid's writhing on the floor." "Oh my god, you've given them seizures." Please note I said thae was the ONLY part I laughed at.
