Another smart well written Scifi show has been cancelled to make way for more shows for people with double digit IQs. Thats right Kyle XY has been cancelled.

When a boy emerges from the forest with no recollection of who he is, a kind social worker takes him into her family and everyone wants to know: who is "Kyle XY?" As the Trager family works to help Kyle discover his world, they must also address the truths in their own lives as they struggle to adjust to the newest member of their family.

Please we need your help

Please help us ‘Save the Tub’! by supporting the show. This is a great show and it has so much to say. Even if you have never seen the show before, there are others who have and love it, you will love the show too once you give it a chance and tune in on Mondays at 9 pm est. Thank You!

Nicole never gave up on Kyle and never gave up on Jessi. So we must never give up on Kyle and the Tragers.

KYLE XY is an incredible mystery about a teenager with no past. The series tells the surprising journey of Kyle (Dallas), a 16 year-old teenage savant who is missing instinctive human behavior such as anger, joy and love, and the family who found him. After coming out of the woods and found walking into traffic, Kyle is sent to a youth detention center where he comes into contact with his first experience of eating food and human interaction: not all of it friendly. At the center they realize that Kyle is not like any ordinary teenager, especially once they find that he is missing his belly-button. With questions of Who is this kid? and Where did he come from? psychologist Nicole Trager (MacIntyre) is called in to help get some much needed answers.

After a couple of hours with Kyle, Nicole realizes that he can not survive in the institution and needs special attention, so she decides to bring him home to keep a closer eye on him. The rest of the Trager family is not as welcoming of Kyle, seeing him as just another one of Nicoles special projects. Her husband Stephen (Thomas) doesnt want his wife to get too attached to Kyle, while her teenage daughter Lori (Matson) and son Josh (Bilodeau) see him as a freak that can only hamper their social lives.

Soon the family starts to see that Kyle has some unique abilities and an uncanny way of completing two hour IQ tests in 5 minutes with perfect scores. He encounters everyday activities such as video games, drawing and music with a wide-eyed wonder and a thirst for more knowledge. He also starts to grow fond of the Trager family and even rescues Lori from a high school party that gets dangerously out of hand.

As he settles in with the Trager family the question still remains, who is Kyle? What are his secrets, secrets that even he doesnt understand? Why doesnt he have a belly button? Why cant he remember anything from his past? Is he suffering from some sort of post-traumatic stress? If not, is he suffering from amnesia? And who is the suspicious looking man following him?

Hello Futurama fans , I too am a big Futurama fan. Kyle XY has been canceled ," Another classic science fiction show cancelled before its time! tsk tsk tsk"  Please help us SAVE THE TUB.

We need your help.

It strikes me as remarkable that there while watching a preview video clip of (what was) an upcoming episode, an announcer's voice would triumphantly exclaim: "Entertainment Weekly says: Monday nights! KYLE XY is "the One to Watch!"...
How nice to see this encourage others to watch. How nice to see such a good endorsement! And then the show gets cancelled anyway. As they say: go figure. This will likely confuse many.---But there's also another point worth considering.

It is , but ABC Family has not been advertising that much for the show. ABC Family has been playing with the time slots as well. It used to air at 8 pm est it now airs at 9 pm est.

They have been plugging that Secret Life Garbage constantly.

I just heard of Kyle XY 20 seconds ago, you people seem shocked. I do no add anything to the discussion at hand. PEEL is not about post-counts. Those who think it is will sometimes find their post count reset.

Why, yes.  It's just like that time when some of the stupider peelers blamed King of the Hill for Futurama's cancellation.

I'm sorry if a show that you like is being cancelled, Yoshi.  I think that everyone here probably knows how you feel about that.  But there's really no reason to direct your anger at other shows that just happen to be shown on the same network.

Now when Futurama was cancelled what type of things did you guys do to get the show saved from being cancelled.

We have a petition going, we ask that you please sign our petition, because we can't let networks cancel well written shows like Kyle XY  and Futurama. Its just not right. There are some shows that we absolutely can't live without , Futurama and Kyle XY. You have got to love Bender

http://community.abcfamily.go.com/forums/shows/kyle-xy/heres-where-sign-petition

I would love to see a Bender Figurine and a model PlanetExpress Ship in Kyles room on Kyle XY. That would be awesome.

Well, we really didn't save Futurama by a lot of petitions. FOX said it was because of strong DVD sales. So, buy DVDs!

Did you see this week's episode?  Do you want to start a new thread to discuss it?  :)

Also, I've never seen The Middle Man, or ever even heard of it.  What's it about?

David A, it was based ona  comic book of the same name.

Basically there's this guy... He's called The Middle Man, and he works for a secret organization (so secret he doesn't even know who they are) and his job is to save the world from supernatural disaster like stuff.

Anyways, in the show and presumably in the comic (I've never read) this one chick who likes to do arts and has worked for every temp agency in the area gets a job working with the Middle Man.

The Middle Man ends up training his replacement.  Anyways, the show was witty and funny... Like ummm... If you crossed Gilmore Girls with Men In Black with.... geek culture?

Kevin Sorbo guest starred on an episode. :)

A little bit more information from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Middleman_(TV_series)

I think it's well worth the try out if you haven't seen it.... Unfortunately it's probably too mature for the ABC Family audience and thus will never get out of hiatus hell.
