Exactly, she still stared at him in the face and didn't recognise him. Unless she is lying. .. which is likely

So when Dan said "this is our present" it really can't have been because it seems Eloise knew what was going to happen in his near future...So why did old Ellie want to get everyone back to the island in order to get her son shot? :(

Because she knew Dan had to die in order for something to happen?  I mean, you have to think that IF Dan succeeded it could mean that Ellie and Widmore never had Dan at all.  Also, Dan didn't need to go back to the Island in the 70's.  He may never been shot if he didn't go back, so maybe this is the first time he was shot, if time is constantly running.  Know what I mean?  Maybe in another "past" Dan didn't come back and ruin things for everyone.  Because Sawyer and crew would have had to leave anyways cuz the guy in the closet (phil?).

I didn't like that episode. Dan's performance was nowhere near as good as he has been. I think him going in shooting up the joint was of character, and his death speach was too forced and rushed. Not Happy Lost makers.

Chay's head I am disappointed that you didn't like the episode. Perhaps the upcoming entitlement showcasing John Locke and the rest will fancy you better.

I agree with chayser, for a super smart guy he's really bad at going into a fight surrounded by guys with guns, an they made him into a crying girl for some reason.

Tonight on an all new LOST...

Kate and Jack are at odds while Juliet and Sawyer are scrutinized. Locke, meanwhile, solidifies his position as leader of the Others.

"Follow the Leader" airs tonight at 9/8c only on ABC.

I have a problem with Dans solution from the last episode:
Law of conservation of energy: Energy cannot be created or destroyed.

As a physicist he should bloody know that.

I suppose. The lost guys are pretty smart I'm sure there's an explanation. In fact I'll ask the podcast :)

Running commentary:

Stop shooting Dan we get it, MEAN!!

Oh great Curly Charles is back.

Locke brought SWINE FLU to the island.

Radinksi is a dick, mutineers should be stabbed by Horace.

Miles hair is greyer than his dads, haha.
Hurley sucks at history.

Locke: Go and help me out, I'm over there by the plane.

SAYID! \o/ pew pew motherfuckers!

Kate is the new Jack, Jack is the new Locke and Locke is the new Ben?

I love you.
I love you back.
Oh.. freckles... Awkwaaard! :/

Locke: Because I'm going to kill him... ;)
Ben: Huwhaaaaat?

Saw this on the theories board and found it interesting: By "kill" Jacob Locke means he doesn't believe Jacob is real (he said to Ben "you've never seen Jacob have you?") and he wants to expose this to the Others by taking them to his cabin. Still doesnt explain how the cabin moves or how Christian Shepherd is walking around (monster maybe?) but we'll see...

I much prefered that episode to the last one. It was good!

Something i'm pondering on, i get the feeling that whatever they are about to do to Jughead, rather than it changing the past, i get a feeling it's going to be fulfilling the past, as in, the bomb will cause the incident.

LOLS at hurley being 46. Hehe. So you fought in the Korean war? "It doesn't exist..."

Does anyone believe that they will reverte time?

I seriously doubt it... because it would be a big brilliant plot change ,..and they surelly have no guts to do such thing.

Plus there is still one season plus remaining of S5 , unless S6 is due to being short (like 4 was) there is still to much episodes to do this.. this will fail and it will fail by end of S5

Next week is the 2 hour finale. Season 6 is 17 episodes as well.

But no, i don't think they will change the past. I think by the end of next week, it won't matter, they will all be back in regular time.

I was going to say a hydrogen bomb would cause an EMP which could bring down a plane, but oop, wrong timezone.
Unless the island does some temporal jiggery pokery and it actually takes down the plane.

Getting my head around the whole Locke telling Richard telling Locke what to do still fucks with me. 2nd-Locke could've told Richard to say "flip me over and root me up the badger!" but instead he told him to tell him what he already knew? He could've really at least attempted to fuck with the world by telling him something else. That would've been much more interesting.

I'm enjoying seeing Ben as a mere pawn these days. He doesn't know anything that's going on anymore. Remember how scary and omni-knowing he used to be?? HAW HAW.

What's season 6 going to be about? Anyone know the overall plot?

No idea. I can't even imagine. I'm looking forward to the alternate reality game reveal. Hopefully another commercial will air during the finale this year :)

I dont think they'll change time...the producers have been saying since "The Constant" that you can't change time.

Clicking the link worked for me  Anyway, how good is it? How did I not know about these earlier? Grr.

He didn't tell him what he already knew, he was telling him what he NEEDED to know to keep things as they were.

I guess "keeping things as they were" is his main key.. and his whole thing about destiny bla bla bla.. I don't know why he doesn't want to shake things up a bit sometimes? I dunno.

I saw a sneak peak of the finale online too (from the same youtube subscriber above) when they're down under the temple talking about the H-Bomb. Neat!

Collection package? Just collect them now! It's not really collecting if it all comes at the same time.

That 'Untangled' thing doesn't exactly untangle anything..it just recaps the show and puts amusing captions on screenshots. And they made Horace sound a bit like the creepy old man out of Family Guy..

Also wouldn't explain how Locke saw a someone in the cabin and heard him say 'help me', way back when.

Yeah, they were fun. But it shouldn't be called untangled. Same as that spray stuff Pantiene released once, it didn't untangle my hair at all. :nono:

'Re-enactment' always makes my mind flash back to Australia's Most Wanted, when they'd show as best they could what happened and put "re-enactment" at the corner of the screen. Oh really, I thought you caught it all perfectly on film?! And the actor never looked anything like the victim, but then they'd show a picture of the victim...what was the point in that? I loved that show for some reason.

Quote
“Ours is a show that specializes in big shock endings, but I think season five…” Emerson (Ben) tells E Online. “None of the other shock endings left me wondering how the show goes on. We have two kinds of huge shocks at the end of this one. Each one alone would be enough to keep an audience eating its own soul for the whole hiatus, but with two, I don’t know what you can do with that.”

:hmpf:
