I agree that the first season is the best one.  The rest don't come close. 

I haven't finished watching this season, think I've only watched through episode 7, but I've liked it so far.  The only thing that really bothers me about the show (which I know, is just following the books) is Sookie banging all the male characters.  I personally like her with Bill, it would be nice for her to be with someone for more than a few episodes.

Season 5 was pretty good and I liked the suspenseful cliffhanger. cant wait for season 6!

Best part of the episode was Andy Bellefleur coming to the door with a gun and vengeance in his eyes.

This is one of my favorite shows.  Loved it since it first came out.

I loved season 3, wasn't too keen on the following seasons but continued to watch.
