The Enchanted Christmas wasn't too bad for a mid-quel, but Belle's Magical World was horrible in the extreme.

The Lion King sequels were actually quite good. And technically Rescuers Down Under was a sequel and was damn good.

Does Enchanted count as Disney Animated? I dunno because it kinda teeters between the two worlds, but it's definitely animated at some points... The list only includes films in the Disney Animation Canon. The sequels I don't think are officially part of this group, but their inclusion is nice anyway. Also, I've just learned from that link that Disney is rebooting the Winnie-the-Pooh franchise. They can't let the superhero genre be the only one able to get away with that, now can they?

I was thinking of a darker and edgier version. Pooh: I know you are responsible for Piglet's murder, Rabbit, and that you framed Tigger for it. Rabbit: No! I swear, I wasn't involved, Owl is making it up! Eeyore: Owl was involved? Pooh: You're just digging yourself deeper, you piece of scum. I bet you were the mastermind behind the Great Honey Heist as well. Rabbit: Please, let go, you're hurting me! Eeyore: Nobody cares.

The Wild is not included, cause it is not quite Disney but produced by C.O.R.E. Feature Animation. Same as Gnomeo and Juliet, Valiant, Roadside Romeo, all the Pixar movies etc. etc. aren't included.
On a more related note to the topic, I am picking up on the movies and soon will have watched most... Only 24 left or so...

We really need a DreamWorks thread so I can rant about how bad Madagascar is and praise their few good films, like Megamind.
How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, and Megamind are their stand-outs for me but I quite liked Madagascar, too. Of course, I'm the person who thinks that Ice Age II: The Meltdown is the best Blue Sky movie so far, so what would I know?

I don't mean to say nobody will enjoy Madagascar. It's a film you either like or hate I feel. Personally I enjoy Monsters vs Aliens, a somewhat shallow action film from DreamWorks. Don't smite me, but I've not seen How to Train Your Dragon yet. The rabid fangirls/boys during its release made me protest seeing it but now that the hype has died I wanna give it a chance. Also, I swear they need a sequel to Megamind like... NOW but yet I don't want one because they'll find a way to either make it like Shrek 2 (which is arguably better than the first) or screw it over entirely. If they do make a sequel, they should learn how to properly market the movie. The marketing ploy for Megamind was horrendous and so it didn't rake in the money amount I think it deserved during its box office run. Fire the jackass who chose to make official Blu-Ray box art/CD case covers with non-finalized character designs (AHEM, you forgot the stylish goatee on my main blue man guys and that's just a start) and chose to release the dumbest parts of the film in a trailer to make it look bad. That isn't to say the parts they used were horrible when in context, it's just when taken out of their element they fall flat. In fact, I'd forgotten about the film entirely until my friend said she saw it. I took a chance and was glad I did. I gladly paid to see it twice, once 3D and once 2D. Rarely do I go see movies two times so that means something. And I've watched it a billion more times on DVD. I think it's a stepping stone for DreamWorks, ya know? If they can just stay on their game like that then they'll be just as good as Pixar, if not better. I saw Tangled two times as well (hey, this is becoming a relevant post!) and I think it's a film that grown on you over time. I got it on Blu-Ray/DVD combo and watched it again recently and loved it more than ever. I still feel like some musical numbers were forced though. I'm not sure WHY they felt forced but they did and one gripe I actually have about this film is the creepy drunken old guy with the white hair. Way to kill a magical ending with him. I know it's awkward humor but I dislike it.
