Good episode. Looking forward to seeing more. Also, screw AMC and their whole "see the preview for next week's episode during the commercial break for some other shitty show you don't care about!" policy.

Have you ever seen an "On the next Mad Men?" It's the funniest thing ever. :p

And yeah, excellent return. Was NOT expecting Hank to confront Walt so soon, but I guess they've gotta pick up the pace if the show is to catch up to the flashforwards by the end.

Also, screw AMC and their whole "see the preview for next week's episode during the commercial break for some other shitty show you don't care about!" policy.

I'm actually really happy about the way they're doing that. Usually when shows give teasers for the next episode during the credits of the one that just ended, I almost always watch it. I'd prefer not to watch it though because I'd rather just see everything for the first time while watching the actual episode, and sometimes they spoil minor or even major things. It's just that when they show it immediately after the previous episode is done, I don't have the will to shut the TV off and my eyes are already glued to the screen so I just watch it anyway. So AMC delaying the teaser gives me the actual option to turn the TV off when the episode ends and not be tempted to watch the teaser.

Showtime is by far the worst offender with their teasers, at least for Dexter. Not only do they show their teasers right after the episode ends, and not only do those teasers almost always include major spoilers that would have been much more surprising to see in the actual episode, but they actually show teasers for episodes right before those episodes actually air! Without any commercials in between or anything! Why the fuck would I want to watch a full-length teaser for an episode I'm about to see in literally five seconds? Especially considering Showtime airs the episodes without commercial breaks...what the hell reason do they have to think we're that impatient to see what happens?

If the AMC Executives don't release the rest right now, then maybe their best course would be to tread lightly. :D

That was amazing. I was already on the verge of losing my shit when I realised his story idea was essentially a pie eating contest, and then, that ending... Oh god. :laff:

Did anyone else notice Walt was wearing his wedding ring, and Skyler wasn't? Also the next episode is titled confessions, so I think I see where this is going.

I don't find Skyler or Marie to be very compelling, so this episode didn't grip me like most others. But it still had it's good moments, and propelled the story further along which makes me really quite excited for next week.

And I just want to say this: I loved Vince Gilligan way before it was cool.

Your avatar is cool.  I prefer the original SGB the most, but this one is definitely cool.  Good job.  We'll have to discuss which ones get used in the avatar game one day, but I have to build that first.  Then we'll discuss it.  Like the new avatar. :)

Seriously you two, if you're starting with the episodes currently airing now, DON'T. Breaking Bad is a slow burn and a perfectly constructed, laser-pointed narrative. You're coming in about 90% of the way through and basically ruining it for yourselves. Go back and watch it from the pilot. It'll be so very, very, VERY much more worth it (even though you've already spoiled one of the biggest turns in the show for yourselves).

Annnnyway: HOLY SHIT THAT EPISODE WAS INTENSE!!! I loved the fact that the "disappearer" came back into the show... Are they ever going anywhere with that plot device? It's been a Chekhov's Gun for the past two seasons now. I also loved Saul's draw full of phones. Because, well, of COURSE he has that. And Walt's "confession tape" was complete and utter fucking genius. I kinda want him to get away with everything again now. :p
