From Comedy Central's press release:
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker recently signed a multi-million dollar deal for a new series. But are we to expect another short-lived "That's My Bush?" Well, as it turns out, the new series just so happens to be a spin-off of South Park itself, titled Hairy South Park.
"Basically, what we're doing is, re-releasing all the old episodes of South Park," explained Matt Stone, "But digitally edited so that everyone is a lot hairy." Trey Parker quipped "Given that this is a series about 8-year-old boys, we really don't get much of a chance to play around with the facial hair, which has always been a love of Matt and I. This new project will finally give us a chance to do it." "We're really looking forward to it," said Matt.
Hairy South Park won't be premiering for at least another yet, but the promotion has already begun.

So, what does everybody think? Personally, I'm a little puzzled by this project, though I certainly agree that, if there's one thing missing from South Park, it's mass amounts of facial hair. I personally can't wait to watch all my favourite episodes of South Park again, but in a new, improved, hairy state!
