Saw the episode last night, fantastic opener. Loved the Hurley flash forward, loved everything on Island. Locke is such a badass, and loved seeing Jack getting so pissed off haha. This season is going to be extremely interesting, so much has happened already in this first ep. Did Jackobs house move? Or was that Hurley just imagining it? I just wish we had more than 8 eps, but 8 is better than nothing and I can't frigging wait!...

Thanks Faze. Got it down. Also watched the first TV airing on telly last night too. Woowooo.... I think it's Mikhail's eye in the window too. But it could be a whole new person, whaddaya think?? And what do you mean by not trusting the flashforwards? Do you mean not trusting that they are actually flashforwards, or not trusting that the current timeline will actually play out in the way that would cause what is shown in those flashforwards? I think because theyr'e always so damn ambigious! Also, kinda cool, just before the interview room window breaks, read the hand!
OOooh thankyou for that framegrab! So... I want to know, who was left on the island? Who got off (of this Oceanic Six??) Why do they have to go back? What is this all about... why are they all haunted about what they've done? I just wish we had more than 8 eps, but 8 is better than nothing and I can't frigging wait!... Urh! I just read this yesterday and I'm SHOCKED there's only 8 eps WHYYYYY...

Yeah... i know why, it just seemed right to call it out loudly...
I read a big article on it today in the paper (i think it was yesterday's paper actually) saying how they have more seasons, at 16 eps each. To be all finished by May 2010. That's kinda interesting to have a final date for a series like this. Gives some kind of finite ending..... but we all know nothing is ever concluded with a show like Lost.

I knew Ben wasn't going to say what the monster was. You're all so gullible. :\ Despite that though, "WHAT IS THE MONSTER?!...THE SMOKE MONSTER?!?!?!?!" was my absolute favorite part of the episode. It seemed so out of place and fan-inspired (the writers must have finally realized we've been wondering why the survivors haven't been trying to figure that out from the Others since they first met them...nobody has even asked! That would be the FIRST thing I would try to find out!), but it was wicked awesome BECAUSE of those things. I laughed so hard. I do wonder why Locke can't just find out from Jacob...unless I'm wrong about assuming those two have been talking. Although when asked who he was taking his orders from, Locke said Walt (if you remember his short appearance in the season 3 finale...which of course you do!), I thought he was going to say Jacob. So maybe I am indeed assuming wrong. And I'm still wondering what variation of the monster Locke saw during the boar hunt in season 1, if you recall that moment where it comes through the trees (you don't see it though) and right up to Locke's face (after which you don't know what actually happened other than Locke telling Jack soon afterwards that he had "looked into the heart of [the] island, and what [he] saw was beautiful" ). I'm curious because if you remember early in season 3, in the Eko episode, he tells Eko that he saw a bright light, and Eko told him that that wasn't what he saw. At the time I thought (and still do) that this had something to do with Locke being a "good" person and Eko not being one (in the eyes of Smokey/the island, that is). Anyway, to get away from that tangent, this episode was awesome. I thought I liked the season premiere, but this episode was even MORE packed. The writers are just delivering and delivering, but at a perfect pace. Dan is the best new character ever. "Uh...um...uh...well, you see...um..." So funny. Also, I was very interested when it was revealed that these guys are after Ben. At first I thought that Ben must've really fucked these guys over in the real world just like he has to the survivors (and his own people) on the island, thinking he must be some sort of wanted psychopath in the real world. I didn't think that as much though as the episode concluded...now I have no idea why they're after him or why he has "a man on their boat", but just that it means that our guys our caught in the crossfire. I'm also intrigued by the fact that the advertising campaign now is extremely straightforward about the fact that only six survivors got off the island and that the rest remained on the island, and that the rest of the people who made it off are to be revealed. In the ad for this episode though, Ben's "It's a secret." was really cheesy. Can't wait to see more.

At first I thought that Ben must've really fucked these guys over in the real world Not possible - he has been on the island since he was a child, remember? With his bastard Dad, he grew up killed him and the all the others then started his own 'others' again. At least we kinda know why he's SO paranoid about not being found. He knows these people want him. Poses the questions: What do they want him for? What did he do? How and who is his insider on the ship? Can someone clarify who is travelling with Jack? Is it just Kate and Sayid? And there's creepy black guy in the real world, who seems incredibly insistant that everyone from Oceanic 815 is dead. Of course he comes across so forced it is obvious he knows they're alive, and makes us the audience belive it's meant to be a secret. If it's a secret, why is Hurley left shouting out "I'm one of the Oceanic Six!!" in the premier? but just that it means that our guys our caught in the crossfire. Yep exactly. Creepy back guy IRL just said to Naomi to get in, and get out. Complete the mission. Pretty clear he didn't want to interfere with the non-existant survivors of Oceanic 815... kept her focused on getting Ben, really. Asian guy was in X-Men 3, Ahhh thankyou. Also, what's with his ghost-whisperer thing ya think?

Ok just saw the ep, dunno if I like these new characters. I liked Naomi but not sure about these other new people. Can barely even understand what Dan is saying. It was a decent ep but I dunno if it's just me that's thinking this but for the first time ever in Lost's run so far things seem to be moving too fast! What with everything that's happened in these past two episodes. Maybe I'm crazy for thinking that but everything seems so fast, I'm not used to this pace in Lost. I wonder if it'll last...

Fuck yes!
"Damon Lindelof is eager for some answers. An executive producer of ABC's mystery serial "Lost," he should learn this week what his show's future holds as it closes out its fourth season.
"Lost" has been back on the air just two weeks. But the strike meant a planned 16-episode shooting schedule was halted after just eight episodes were shot. Fans braced themselves for no more this season.
"But we very much want to come back and do as many episodes as possible," said Lindelof, who then listed a few issues that first need to be settled.
"How many episodes can best serve our story? And what are the production realities?" He noted that the shooting facility in Hawaii, 2,500 miles from his Los Angeles office, had been shuttered since Thanksgiving. The crew has dispersed, the huge cast has scattered.
The first new post-strike episode of "Lost" could possibly be ready for broadcast the week after episode eight appears, he said. There likely would be three or four more after that.
Could there be even more?
"I'd be surprised if the network wanted to air episodes deep into the summer," he said. But if all the pieces fell into place, "Lost" fans would be blessed: "I don't see why we couldn't deliver all eight remaining episodes."
That kind of zeal should warm viewers' hearts. Lindelof and the rest of TV's creative community seem delighted to be back."
