Hehe, that deleted ending was great, but I'm glad they took it out...that episode could not have ended any better than the way it did (with the awesome call back to the end of Pink Eye).
I loved how the kid took Cartman's pickle at the end of the deleted scene though...hehehe.

OOOHhh check this out

South Park Original Voices -What Would Brian Boitano Do?

It's brillaint and it's like how the boys sound like when they become adults. I wonder what Matt and Trey use to pitch the boys voice.

Bump

Last night I watched a bit of the South Park: Imaginationland Trilogy on ParaComdy. Yeah it was great that they showed all three episodes in the row. I want to get the USA dvd Of the South Park: Imaginationland movie because I heard that it is the uncut version.

Juliet, all the DVD's (well, as of Season 11, anyway) are going to be uncut now. Yes, I'm still going to get this particular DVD for the extra footage and bonus features, but that's because I'm an overly obsessive fan. If all three parts are on the Season 11 DVD too (which they will be), it's really not worth most people owning both.

Anyway, Season 12 premiere aired yesterday! I'll try to avoid spoilers here because I really don't want to take away from the plot's shock value for anyone who hasn't seen it. It's far from the best South Park episode ever, but it's definitely one that every good fan NEEDS to watch.

1201 - Tonsil Trouble

Man... Definitely one of South Park's more extreme episodes. Not to the extent of Scott Tenorman Must Die, of course (after all, that's one long build-up to an incredibly shocking end, whereas the more shocking moments of this episode all happen early on), but still... Holy shit. That's quite possibly the worst thing Cartman's ever done. The extremity of it alone made the whole thing hilarious. Nice to see they took it somewhat more seriously than they usually take episodes - understating the situation really would have robbed it of all its humour.

The ending was kind of retarded, though. As much as I loved the bit in Africa, the whole thing seemed like one huge cop-out. Granted, they needed a way out of the situation, but surely they could've done better than that? Oh well, it was still a solid episode, and a great (and strange) way to start the season.

8/10

Agreed Beamer, definatly not the best but it was still good. What Cartman did was the worst thing he has ever done and definatly a good yet weird way to start season 12.

Yeah, that really was... extreme. Wow. Still, I thought this was a great episode. The only real downside to me was that I had Cheeseburger In Paradise stuck in my head all night.

I still think that they could've done it in the end of Lice Capades instead of Angelina. Britney about to shave her hair and the lice you've been through say's "Oh, crap!"

That Britney episode was terrible. Weak humour and just incredibly silly. I mean they've done the "adults do something abnormal" which Stan and Kyle think is ridiculous and try to stop thing to death. Just seemed like twenty minutes of paparazzis chasing after Britney. 2/5.

It had a few funny moments, but boy did it go downhill in the last half. After it ended, I actually said aloud, "What the hell was that shit?"

Man, what a weak follow-up to last week's great episode.

After doing my research on what this episode was referencing, I've grown to appreciate the ending of this episode a bit more, but I still think it's pretty average. Aside from all the jokes about everyone being completely focussed on the most trivial things about Britney (overdone, but still funny), there was little fun to be had here. Butters and Cartman were abandoned with no pay-off to their storylines (quite unusual for South Park too, you'd have thought that the Butters/squirrel thing would at least go somewhere) and all the potential that the episode had was just lost.

Season 12's got a dark and disturbing tone about it so far. 1201 and 1202 have both stayed in my mind long after I first watched them... Don't get me wrong, sometimes this show's more fucked up episodes are among the best (Scott Tenorman Must Die, anyone?), but it's far more effective when done sparesly and these sort of episodes catch you off guard. Hopefully this won't be a trend for the rest of the season.

That episode was majorly messed-up. I remember when I first saw that, I couldn't
believe what they could get away with. I used to watch South Park plenty; much of the first few seasons was brilliant. Haven't watched it lately.

Last night's episode was awful. The beginning was funny but it went sharply downhill after they left the hospital. I'm not sure what the corn harvest thing was based off of but it was just too silly for my tastes.

I enjoyed last week's. It was, uh... cute, for lack of a better word. And actually funny.

Last night's was pretty much just terrible in every single way. Their point was so hypocritical that it made no impact for me.

Ugh last nights episode was awful. I was thinking "What the hell is this shit?" Not nearly as good as last weeks episode. My little brotehr found the episode hilariously funny. But to me it wasn't as good as it could have been. I don't get the harvest stuff. I liked that they were going to kill Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana next. But the episode was awfuil after they left the hospital like SP said. This episode has potential but what happened to Cartman and Butters?

I was hoping for more from those two as well.

I think I liked this episode more than some because it so heavily reflected one of my favorite short stories, "The Lottery", but I had a really hard time finding it amusing (same as last week).  I loved "Scott Tenorman Must Die" for its dark humor, but this season's episodes so far seem almost too dark and shocking.

"Britney's new look"

Guess what?  Spot on, exactly what we do to celebrities.  This episode is a big red arrow pointing to the reason why the only celebrities that really stick are those that die young.

Funny, disturbing, and scathingly true.

I hope that they were refrenceing the original wicker man, though.  That one was good.

Apparentally there's some aspects of The Omen and The Wicker Man in there too, but that seems to be the main thing it's referencing.

I liked this episode.  I was disappointed that Britney died.  I was expecting some last minute thing to save her like South Park usually does.  I especially like the Miley Cyrus joke at the end.  I wish they did away with her, since she looks like unattractive Amanda Bynes with an overbite and annoying southern drawl.

Right, sorry. Typo.

The bit about the giant squirrel on the news was actually a very unusual joke for South Park. Usually Matt and Trey would just do a b story rather than a one line call back. I hope it's not a new trend, because it's kind of an easy "Derp" joke.
