I don't get why people mostly say "it's fake" as a reason for not liking wrestling. 99% of everything on TV is fake.

Athletic competition is one of the few areas of television that viewers demand authenticity in. This is a big reason why why MMA has gained so much popularity at the expense of groups like WWE.

I liked pro wrestling when I was a kid. I grew out of it. I don't look down on others for finding the performances entertaining though.

Yeah but MMA was gonna be huge anyway, it's such a unique sport and fight fans no longer have heavyweight boxing to turn to for big time matches. Wrestling (and boxing) just needs more star power and they'll live in harmony with UFC. WWE in specific needs to ditch the PG writing, they're at their best when pushing the envelope.

He did pretty well, lasted a much longer than guys like Booker T, Hacksaw and Jerry Lawler, though after a while you can tell he had ring rust.  He got eliminated by Barrett. Just saw the whole match and it was okay, the first 2 thirds were awful, only when Sheamus came in at 22, that the match got good and competitive.

I was amazed that Kofi Kingston, he needs to get a push just for this:

another bites the dust.  I remember Doug Funas back when he was in the WWE in 97 with his tag partner Philip Lafon.  It's a shame WWE never pushed this team, since they were successful from around the world.

Even if they didn't have the screwjob, Bret Hart would still have left the WWE since Vince needed to end his contract with Bret, since he couldn't afford him at the time. I sort wish Bret was willing to take a pay cut if it meant he'd stayed in WWE, but he probably would've hated being in the WWE since they went into the Attitude era and Bret was already arguing with Vince about the direction of the company with the sex, violence.

Rock vs. Cena.  Not sure who will win.  I think Cena will win based on the fact if WWE wants Rock to pass the torch to him like Hogan did with Rock exactly ten years ago.  In terms of storyline, I agree with Cena, since he's right.  Rock is a big star thanks to WWE, but choose to leave, abandon his fans for Hollywood.  Realistically, I don't blame him, if you can be successful out of wrestling, do it.  Rock obviously didn't want to end up like many other wrestlers who end continuing wrestling passed their prime and have to used drugs to keep going.  Hogan tried leaving wrestling in 1993 when he left WWE for Hollywood, though he went to WCW for the money.  Not that I'm comparing Rock with Hogan, in that Rock's only doing this for a payday.  Rock probably is getting a payday, but I also believe he's doing one last match because he truly loves the WWE.  I doubt he'd go to TNA for amount of money like Hogan did and know he's bleeding the company.

I also excited to hear that Vince Russo is no longer working as a writer in TNA.  They finally realized how much he sucks.  If WWE were smart, they'd hire him, not as a real writer, but an onscreen GM.  I'd love to see Russo and CM Punk shoot in the ring.  That would be an awesome conversation.  Russo may suck as a writer, but as an onscreen character, he's just an awesome heal.

I think it'd be awesome for Cena to go into WM as champ and have Rock win the belt off him and "have to stay". Of course I'm dreaming. I don't even know who the current champ is. I'll probably buy Wrestlemania then continue ignoring wrestling unless someone good comes to a nearby independent show.

I can't believe there's a Las Vegas web site that took bets on the WM28 matches. Had I known about it sooner, I'd have laid everything down on Undertaker (20-0 at Wrestlemania). Easiest money ever. I'm glad he won though, Taker's always been one of my top 5 favorites. I really wanted Jericho to beat Punk, but oh well. Sheamus took the WHC belt from Daniel Bryan, that's what I most wanted to happen other than Taker winning again. Rock vs. Cena...meh, don't like the Rock anymore and never liked Cena.

I'm shocked to see Brock Lensar back in the WWE.  I wonder if he's on full time or for a while like The Rock.  RAW was actually good for the first time in a long while.

Yes Bret was set to go to WCW, but Jim and Bulldog wouldn't have left the WWE over the screwjob.

I am enjoying WWE and will be looking forward to watch this years Wrestlemania. I don't mind who wins between The Rock and John Cena because I like them both. I don't think CM Punk cannot beat The Undertaker because The Undertaker is undefeated. I absolutely hate CM Punk since he turned heal. He is just to arrogant and every time he is on tv I switch over

I am a big fan of The Shield. I think they are impressive. Just like their bad attitude. I hope they do will at Wrestlemania. AJ Lee is my favourite diva and what vixen she is. I love Daniel Brian and I think he is funny. I also love Ryback.

I have gotten the last 5 Mania's on PPV but I am not going to get it this year.  I can pretty much predict what is going to happen.

Taker will win.

The Shield will win.

Ryback will win because Mark Henry will get over confident

I get the feeling that Swagger will win and then Dolph will cash in and win.

Team Hell No will lose but AJ will get the pinfall and be the new Divas Champ.

Fandango will win over Jericho.

Cena will win.

I get the feeling that Brock will win since HHH is more behind the scenes now anyways and that Brock already lost to HHH at SummerSlam.

Brock actually beat Trips at Summerslam. I want Brock to win, desperately, but he won't. The rest of your predictions seem good.

Miz/Barrett: WANT - Barrett / THINK - Miz
Zig E/Hell No: WANT - Zig E / THINK - Hell No
Rhodes Scholars & Bellas/Tons of Funk: WANT - Rhodes & Bellas / THINK - Tons of Funk
Del Rio/Swagger: WANT - Swagger / THINK - Del Rio
Shield/Superfriends: WANT - Shield / THINK - Shield
Ryback/Henry: WANT - Henry / THINK - Ryback
Jericho/Fandango: WANT - Fandango / THINK - Fandango
Bork/Haitch: WANT - Bork / THINK - Haitch
Punk/Undertaker: WANT - Punk / THINK - Undertaker
Rock/Cena: WANT - Meteor to strike the ring and hit them both / THINK - Cena

Not surprised because of his size, but very sad all the same. On a lighter note, I'd like to see them put together a video package for him for Black History Month. Especially his Big Daddy V days. Video of him doing the pelvic gyrations in slow motion while the super serious narrator lists his accomplishments would be pretty funny.

On to another wrestling topic... anyone excited about the WWE Network premiering tomorrow? I've been psyched for it to come out since that Skrillex commercial a few years ago. I can't believe it's less than 24 hours away. Christmas come early!

It doesn't seem like we're going to get classic episodes of Raw or Smackdown on demand like we will the PPVs, other then maybe the last few years. The way I read it, they'll air a classic episode of both Raw and Smackdown every Wednesday. I hope that changes over the next year or so and we get them all, or at least most.

Not sure how possible that would be seeing as there's over 1,000 episodes of Raw and almost 800 episodes of Smackdown, but I think it's doable.
