Nerds FC

Anyone ever seen this show? I know many versions have been done around the world, we just finished ours in Oz.

Such a good show, uplifting, inspiring, funny and a feel good time. Great to see the Nerds actually do well in the end, after performing so horribly at the start.

Been 10 days. Enough to warrant a double post.

So, I'm guessing no one has seen this show then? A shame. I heard they were organising a Nerds FC Tournament, kinda like a World Cup. I'd go, but I already see the same thing everytime America play.

Offtopic: I like you 

Ontopic: Various 'nerds' (analyse it how you will) nominate themselves to learn how to play football. They are given 3 months to learn how to play, then they face a national team, in Australia it was Melbourne FC (hardly a worthy team, but thats another topic for another day).

These 'nerds' range from loners, engineering freaks, Hitler expert, one guy was even a fan of boats. BIG fan of boats. They are trained by a coach on how to play football. Hilarity ensues.

I thought people might know more about it, there was a few European versions.

Anyway, good shit

Ahem... we invented the thing. The origin of Nerds FC is the show FC Zulu on the Danish station TV2 Zulu (incidently the same station that introduced me to Futurama). FC Zulu have already played their first international against Sweden, and are planning another one against Spain. Never seen it myself, but I've been forcefed the adverts.
