Matt Wilson had started a thread earlier about farsely remarking that Family Guy has been cancelled and it reminded me I should start a topic to tell you guys what's up with the show, as I know from the Family Guy community I'm also in. Well, just that it's today, I heard that within the next 2 weeks or so, beginning next week, Fox will be deciding on what to do with the show taking a Thursday night time-slot, so support the show and watch it, and in case the attempt by fans to let the show live on fails, enjoy what you have now before it's all over.

Tonight, there will be an AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) chat for users with that program (yes, even Trill-AIM users with version 0.71 can use the chat option [bart182, etc.]    ;)), so come join at 5:00 pm ET, 1:00 pacific time, if you can. I'll try to be there, but it's in an attempt to let the show live on. The room is called Family Guy.

Anyway, that's not exactly the whole point of this thread. What do you think of the show and what's happening, and its overall history, like great episodes, or how FG-creator Seth McFarlane missed the first September 11 plane flight to Los Angeles, which crashed at 9:00 or so in the morning in New York City?

Post overall reviews here, if you wish.

I hope the show survives. I always try to watch it, and bought the first series on video  :)

I just realized that I have collected nearly all the Family Guy episodes.  It surprised me because I did it passively.  My Simpsons collection was different; after a while I was collecting for the sake of collecting (Season 12).  I hope Family Guy comes back strong.

Ya , it surprised me last week when i saw there was a new episode kuz i thought it was cancelled already. Peter grows a beard to be cool and powerful, then a bird flies in and has baby birds and he has to take care of them heh, its a pretty good episode.

Uh, what the fuck?

I wasn't lying. FOX made their decision. The show is cancelled.

Ask any FG staffer and they'll tell you it's true.

The show won't be picked up for a fourth season, and I don't even think letters will save it this time.

FOX will likely sell the reruns to UPN, Comedy Central, or Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

But please. Try researching before you throw blind accusations at me.

Matt Wilson is right. The show Family Guy will be cancelled after this season. It's over.

Well, we gotta enjoy these new episodes while they last. I hope another network will pick up the slack.
