Awesome episode. Been waiting for the Wireless to appear ever since she was in the comics.

Surprised Surresh did not put a few things together but oh well.

Lastly, liked the little cameo of "The Man" as the bus driver. Excellsior faithful watchers.

I am amazed by this show and I thought it was absolutely brilliant. It is a bit like The X Men isn’t it.

I liked the woman who sees her vision of herself in the mirror, the teenage cheerleader who is indestructible and some of her scenes were cringe worthy. I love the Tokyo clock guy. I think he is funny. I will be watching more of this show.

Heroes short graphic novels. PDF and Flash format.
Made to run concurrently with the series.

Oh crap I keep forgetting to come down to the TV forum.

We're onto ep 6, which just aired last night. I really have to spend a good hour reading some goss and spoilers tomorrow to get really up to speed. I am definitely hooked on this show too...
What is the dealio with Claire's fake "bioparents"? Dodgy, dodgy. I wanna know who they really are!

Awww, it's on another break, April 23rd for the next episode.  :(

I don't think those graphic "novels" (5 pages isn't a novel, NBC) will keep me until then.

Can anyone suggest, besides torrent p2p downloads, where I can either stream or download episodes?

I have been getting my fix this week from DVD Cosmos but I find they've over edited some of the episodes where sometimes I miss a crucial final sentence or moment before it goes to credits or adbreak  :(

It's about the file size I'm interested in though. Not so fussed on quality, I just wanna punch through watching all the eps for now, then rewatch them when they actually air here in Australia!

I can honestly say this show is boring.  I've seen a few episodes and it doesn't sell me.

My friend tells me he doesn't watch HEROES because he says it is a rip off of the sci-fi novel, Greg Bear's "Darwin's Radio".  He says that the sci-fi was planning on adapting that novel into a series, but then Tim Kring pitched Heroes to NBC.  Kring must've read Darwin's Radio or something.  It's ironic that Sci-fi airs reruns of Heroes.

I don't think anyone one the world could sell you... nobody would buy.

I found the first few episodes boring too, but then it gets awesome, your loss.

It can't be a rip off of anything, because then that would have ripped off every superhero story ever told already (or just X-Men in a lot of cases):

Me on page 1:
Peter = Rogue
Claire = Wolverine (without the adamantium skeleton)
Matt = Prof. Xavier
Hiro = Similar to Nightcrawler, except more powerful.
DL = Kitty Pryde

My friend went to UCLA year ago. He loves reading sci-fi and took a class where he had to read sci-fi novels.  He had to read Greg Bear's "Darwin's Radio".  They talked about how it deals mutants in the real world and he told me one student mentioned X-men as a similar concept.  From what my friend told me is that the concept of Bear's book is much more similar to the concept of Heroes.  The fact that random people soon develop powers, the world treats it like an epidemic and it seems some higher authority is trying to find them.

In Darwin's Radio:

My friend said when he read the synopsis for Heroes, he basically says it's exactly like Bear's book.

I think my friend just finds both the book and Heroes to be very similar.  Maybe Kring did rip-off Bear, or maybe it's just a big coincidence.  X-men was around before this two things, but X-men was inspired by things before it.  Either, I plan to read Bear's book since I'm curious, but I won't watch Heroes because it's just not interesting to me.

Now, I'm not sure if it's just the episodes I'm downloading or not, but I seem to get something I've never seen before each time they do the mini recap at the start of each episode. How can they recap something I've never seen!
I'm starting to suspect I'm getting dodgy edited downloads - besides the fact of course that they've constantly got french subtitles and often obscure the japanese subtitles grrr...

I'm not sure, I know there were a few episodes that snuck some never before seen scenes into what I thought was a recap (episode 12 comes to mind) but it depends on what types of scenes, were they substantial ones? I don't remember having that problem with my downloads though, so it might just be your copies.

(btw, I think if the torrent has VOST-FR after it, than it has french subtitles. I avoided this and none of my episodes have them)

and YAY!!! It's back tonight, Damn Hiatus nearly killed me...

Super Grandma powers!

They haven't done a Mr. Fantastic/Stretch Armstrong kind of hero yet, and since her skin is wrinkly...

Well I suppose you could look through all the old episodes and see if Peter exibits any unexplained powers when she is near.

Was wondering how many of Sylar's stolen powers Peter had absorbed though, he certainly did not seem to have any problems that Sylar had from the exceptional hearing he stole. Also makes me think that Sylar should use that liqufying power more.

Has anyone noticed in many scenes there's a blurring effect around the sides of the screen?
It's only in some scenes and not others, I wonder if there's any significance or if it's just a stupid effect they add for no raisin!

Wu, I think people have to use the power in order for Peter to absorb it.  Thats why he has the telekinesis, because Sylar used it on him.  Slyar hasnt used any of his other powers with Peter around, that I can remember.

Certainly sounds possible and would make sense, would also explain why he may not have his mothers powers. Just trying to remeber if Claire used her powers the first time they met.

I think she did.  She was bleeding and cut from the running and bustle, and stood next to Peter as she continued to heal.  Peter didnt heal until she was there healing, from what I remember.
